Great idea!

I'll relay this idea to Pioli and Haley in my meeting this afternoon. Maybe they'll agree with you and decide to not lose so many games

Okie_Apparition 09-22-2011 11:40 AM

Pollard, Tank, Turk, Gunther, Thigpen, last legs LJ. All give you Gailey > Muir. But that's about it

The Bad Guy 09-22-2011 11:59 AM

Yeah, let's give up 3 first round picks instead of just losing 12 out of 14. That'll surely fix things around here.

Sofa King 09-22-2011 12:08 PM

Losing's cheaper. not only for the team in terms of picks, but for the fans as well. Noone wants to waste good money on a 5-11 team that trades away all it's draft picks on a gamble QB, even if that QB looks like the bestest qb evar!!1!!.

The amazing thing about the Chiefs is they have the ability to suck this bad without tanking... they have the superhuman ability to suck this bad while still actually trying to win.

It is the best of both worlds. No one can accuse the Chiefs of tanking, and yet they still have a great chance of going 0-16.

Groves 09-22-2011 12:37 PM

One of the many glaring flaws in purposefully losing in order to get Luck, is that the players would never buy in.

Matt Cassel will never purposefully suck worse than he does in order to more quickly lose his job.

Which is why he might have to be taken out by a sniper.

Palko does gives us a better chance of netting Luck.

For many of you, RedThat is your leader.

Great googly moogly. Did your parents have any children who aren't brain dead?

Piscitelli, McGraw, Jackson, McCluster/last legs Thomas Jones.

Hell, I'm sure there's plenty of guys around here who would argue that '08 Thipen > Cassel. But I don't want to get into that.

Let's not act like the (current) 2011 Chiefs are SOOO much more talented than the '08 version. There's a helluva lot of holes on this team. Although when the team is healthy, there's many more playmakers on the current roster than there were in '08, but losing Charles, Berry & even Moeaki has set this team back pretty far.

Bewbies 09-22-2011 12:49 PM

There is no way the team with the first pick is trading it this year. None.

Hammock Parties 09-22-2011 12:53 PM

So you want to trade three or four more wins for a huge glut of draft picks.

Sounds logical.

Right now we are one game out in the division. If later in the season we are totally out of it I may quietly kinda want us to lose a game or two if we are near last place still. When we are completely out of it , it would make sense, but now it does not. There are gonna be a couple other good qbs left to pick if we are near the bottom still. What if by then Stanzi does come in and impress?

So now you're relying on a 5th round QB to take the place of the #1 overall.

Come on man.
