the ones in the coffee/breakrooms in work areas are the best. Always 2 or 3 years worth of built up crusty food coating the walls and ceiling of the microwave.

These cover things are rather brilliant... but that said.... you still have to clean the microwave cover pretty often..

Have you ever draped a paper towel over a bowl of beanie weenies and thrown it in the microwave? You'll eat at least half of the paper towel...

I don't have one, so by default, I never clean it. Not even once.

One of the biggest reasons I use a microwave, other than quickly heating liquids, is to melt cheese onto my food. A paper towel would take the cheese with it. Unacceptable.
