Cleveland is a death sentence for any coach.

Butch Davis made the playoffs there. Romeo did not.

Well KC hasnt been much of a success story for many in the last how many years?

We are kind of stagnant...

BTW, Jeff Chaduay? (spelling) was on 810 today and felt that this isnt a home run hire, nor a hire that gets the Chiefs anywhere. AND said that he wouldnt be surprised if Pioli was gone in 2-3 with Crennel...

Those are pretty strong thoughts on the subject.

But since Pioli is white and we promote racism here, Pioli should get a pass, dont you agree?

I think the RAC nickname is cool right now, but I can envision wanting to throw up every time I hear it, too.

I didnt give Gunther a chance either.. And hated Marty as equally passionately as I did Herm... Cant stand Cowher either and wouldnt want him in KC...

So what does that have to do with not being racist?

Do you own white robes with hoods too?

Frank,

I saw RAC make the same coaching mistakes in just 3 games with the Chiefs as he did with the Browns. I saw this team have a chance at the playoffs only to blow it to our rivals. The same team who had lost 4 out of 5 games. I don't think he's a very good coach.

.

His OC hire is what's going to make or break him. He has the defense playing at a high level and will no doubt focus a lot of his time to that side of the ball.

He was the best remaining candidate for this team. This was the weakest coach market I can ever remember.

Personally I want to like Romeo and want to give him a chance. However he has one strike against him with me and that is not letting Stanzi start or play in the last game of the season. If he isn't willing to play a rookie QB next season or give Stanzi a shot to prove himself with addiquit playing time during preseason and reps with first team in practice then he will be just as useless of a coach going forward with that we had over the years.

We are a stale team with Cassel or Orton going into next season. It's past time for change and change of venue on aproach with the QB situation. So I'm not against Romeo but unless he makes that major change we are ****ed with him. The sooner we get a young gun going the sooner we can start building for a championship. jmo.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I think Philbin, Clements, Zimmer and even Jeff Fisher are better coaches.

Its not Romeo's decision to make. He will play with the players Pioli gives him. If Pioli says play Cassel, he plays.

Do you honestly feel Crennel would demand or request that the chiefs cut Cassel and draft a qb.

If he can pull off something like that. By replacing orton and Cassel. Then the man would have earned my respect. Regardless of skin color.

And for the record ladies. Two of my closest friends are not white folk.
