Of course, I also drive around town all shift, messing with white trash. I can do as much as I want or as little as I want. Usually do as much as possible to keep me busy.

I hate taking a lunch. A ton of people I knew at my old corporate job would always go out and take like a 1.5 hour lunch (thus extending their work day by 30 minutes by taking a longer lunch). I never got it, as I didn't even want to come back to work once I left. I'd prefer to sit at my computer, eat lunch, read the Planet for 15 minutes, then get back to work and finish my shit for the day and get out of there ASAP.

I go in at 6:00 AM, take lunch between 12:00 and 1:00...only 3 hours left after lunch.

4 10's and you can't make it through? **** I used to put 10 in at the office like nothing then come home and work another 2 or 3 5 days a week.

I just took my lunch 9 hours into my shift, but I don't think I could do this every day.

i haven't worked a 40 hour week for 30 years and that includes when I was unemployed!

I've had spurts in the last 10-15 years with some startups that I worked 100+ in a week...

Iowanian 08-20-2012 06:11 PM

I wish I could pull off working only 4 10s.

I work 3x12/2x10 . On the 12 hour days i have to take my lunch late, otherwise im starving before its time to go home. I usually eat breakfast on the 12s and not on the 10s in order to move that lunch hunger a little farther out in the day.

Bump 08-20-2012 06:24 PM

shit I used to have a job where it would be 12-17 hours per day, every week. It sucked balls. Good money, but boy did I hate it.

Bump 08-20-2012 06:26 PM

I mean imagine getting to work at 10am and leaving at 3 am the next day, and then doing it again the next day and you could take a break, but they would get mad at you for it

Work harder and the time flies by. Learn something new each day and free your mind sonny.

I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I'm on salary so I don't count the hours.
It's primarily project work that involves an international team structure.
It's an awesome arrangement that took a ton of work to get into.
Now I laugh when I hear the traffic reports the morning. I couldn’t imagine going back to the ole 9 to 5.

what the hell does 4x10 mean?
