1) Thefirstrow ALWAYS, ALWAYS has games. I have yet to find any games without a stream on there. If it's on TV, it's on that site.
2) Install a great adblock application. If you're using chrome or firefox, I suggest AdBlock Plus-- you can find it in the Extensions area of the program.
3) Thefirstrow.

I've seen a few games that haven't been on there. Not football games though.

I used firstrowsports all last year and I'm planning on doing it again. I just wait for the initial ad that blocks out the screen for 20 seconds to disappear and then I maximize it so you don't see the ads.

I wonder how much money Directv would lose if they sold separate team packages.

I watched some of the firstrow last night but it was def NOT in HD. Are the NFL games in HD?

jd1020 09-09-2012 08:56 AM

It's a free stream. You are asking a bit much if you are looking for free HD.

Apparantly a lot or they would already be doing it. I've been wishing for ala carte games or a team package forever.

If my math is correct you pay $2.34 a game with the current package. Which would be $37.50 for 1 team. I'd pay a small premium and make it an even $50. I would think a lot more people would pay $50 than $300. Just wonder if the ratio would be at least 6:1.

EDIT: Actually I screwed up. $1.17 a game.

1) It depends. Usually there are multiple streams for any game, so check different links and find which looks best for you.

2) Beggars and choosers. Choosers pay and get HD. Beggars may get lucky :) (PS, I'm the latter, but I really don't mind SD video.

And then, what if your team is playing Ina a nationally televised game a certain week, or just happens to be playing a game against your locally televised market team, or your local affialite just happens to broadcast Chiefs vs Denver that week.

The times I've had the ticket, I might only need it 11 or 12 times a season.

Wouldn't be able to account for those situations. You still have to pay for all 16 games.

Either way, I bet they would still sell a lot of the full packages. And for the people who didn't buy the full package anymore (like myself) I'd still buy some bundled teams like that for $50 a season. That's really a great idea.

I screwed the math up. With the max package you pay $1.17 a game. $18.75 for a single team. With the non-max package you pay $0.78 a game. $12.50 for a single team. Even if you made it $30 for a single team you're probably looking at a loss. You'd have to ask for at least 10:1 ratio.

Of course, I don't know the current #'s on Sunday Ticket sales.

I don't know how you would limit customers to certain teams either. Unless you had 32 channels (1 for each team). Which would add cost.
