I posted it in the game thread as it happened, but a good friend of mine was sitting a few rows back from MC when he was on the phone and shortly after he got off the phone, he was clearly disappointed and disturbed.

There is no conspiracy theory involved because I posted that well before he got "hurt".

Its VERY odd that shortly after that call, he gets a concussion on a play that he didn't seem to take that hard of a hit.

That phone call was Pioli telling Matt "I'm sorry, Matt....I held out as long as I could, but you know what I'm about to say. I'm not gonna pull you and I'm not gonna let them pull you. The next time you get hit, you stay down. I'll take care of the rest. I'm sorry it didn't work out. I really am. You'll always be my starting quarterback."

Well, that's interesting...considering that was the second play of that drive.

Doing it on the 1st play of the drive would have been too obvious???

Yeah we've all been had. Dictator Pioli found a way to turn the tables on the fans. I smell BS on that injury.

I watched it a couple of times , never seen what could have caused a

concussion. No i am not a doctor . It looked like a fish flop to me also .

Injury excuse wont work this time. 90% of the fan base hates his guts this time.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't he have to go through independent tests to prove he has a concussion? If so, pretty sure he can't fake a diagnosis.

Independent Shmindepenent...Clark got the bucks yo! They'll make it happen. If they want him on IR for a concussion, then that's what will happen.

Pretty sure with all the attention around concussions, the league would make sure any evaluation is independent and impartial. Many teams might convince a doctor that a qb is ok to play. It's a nice conspiracy theory, but I don't think it holds much water.

His insurance agent, he saved a ton of $ switching to Geico, so easy a caveman QB can do it.
