How old is the car and how long do you plan on keeping it?

12 years, and not sure. I like it and it's in perfect condition other than a big dent in the side, but at some point it seems like we should get a newer car and I'm not sure if we'd keep this as a second car or not. Right now we make $50 a month renting the garage space and we really don't need two cars.

Well, it's been paid off since 2004, so it's not exactly a big dollar investment at this point.

Take the insurance money and run.

I can't do that. It's like leaving a wounded horse.

I have a 300,000 miles Toyota truck with 3 accidents and still driving it as a everyday driver. Took the money and ran.

This is karma coming for you both because the draft wasn't held in appropriate time.

Yeah, but that's a truck. Dents on a truck add character. Dents on a roadster look like you couldn't make the turn.

I am gonna bet that since he owns a BMW and not a toyota, he probably cares about the look of his car. :D

Real jobs suck.

The break is going to give me some time to write code. Should be ready for the draft in early January if everything goes well.

It shouldn't cost him a cent. It's the other guy's insurance that will be footing the bill.

But it buys a lot more than a monthly car payment.

I have a Mayan friend. Think I'll get her a new calendar for Christmas.
