This is a hard question though.

A harder related question would be would you rather:

A. Have the team be competitive every year for 15 years, but never win a SB.
B. Have the team be shitty for 10 of the 15 years, but manage to squeak out a SB win one year miraculously

Actually, you could get to 5 AFCC games by winning as few as 5 playoff games.

Id be fine with it, anything that makes someone besides the Chiefs the laughing stock of football.

Pro sports is about being a champion. Everything else is well.... not. If you're happy with good seasons that never end in a championship you must be a beat down Chiefs fan or something.

DeezNutz 01-03-2013 10:46 PM

Happy isn't really the right word.

If Reid were to accomplish this, it would be a lot. Very noteworthy. However, it's still short of the goal. So, no, I wouldn't be "happy." But I also wouldn't be pissed because it's absurd not to recognize that the man would have a pretty damn good level of success.

That's all I want...1 title. Then we can go back to sucking.

Wait, what great post season wins did we have under Vermeil?

Comparing the past of one coach to the past of another during the same time frame.

Vermeil began coaching again after Schottenheimer left us and he won a superbowl during that time.

Unfortunately it was with the wrong Missouri team.

NJChiefsFan 01-03-2013 10:48 PM

Its hard to say no to something like this with all we have been through but in the end its about winning the SB. I don't mind taking licks to get there but eventually that is the goal. Never getting there won't be enough.

Munson 01-03-2013 10:50 PM

No. I want a damn Super Bowl victory.

Romeo has set the bar for perceived success very low. Andy does have a good resume and has more success than the chiefs overall. I hope we are not picking him up past his prime. Winning a playoff game is nice and all but **** that we need to win the whole damn thing.

Let's pretend Arizona won the SB in 2008.

Would we rather be the Cardinals of the last 14 years. Or Eagles of the last 14 years.

Tough call. But a SB trophy would be something unforgettable.

I mean, the expectation is that a competitive team MIGHT win a SB at some point, but the fact of the matter is I'm entertained as long as the team looks good and is competitive in every game.

I don't disagree. But I want to set my sights on a higher prize and deal with the disappointment.

I tried to ask myself, "What Poll would Rain Man and DaFace write if they were asking this question?"
