Basic training cost 16k+-
add cost of specific MOS training,deployment gear, and you end up with 350-500k per Marine, soldier, airmen, sailor

SEALS training continuous for 10+ years does get up to 500k-1million

French Commandos are badasses. They are right there with Seals, Delta Force, and SAS. French people suck but, I gotta give credit where credit is due and those guys are no joke. In missions like that one the failure rate is very high.

Also, we tried to get a guy namd Addid in Somalia once and it went a lot worse. We have no reason to gloat.

Hey, I'm amazed that they tried. I too have heard that the French Commandos are pretty friggin' badass. Instead of cheering their failure, I'm at least giving them credit for trying something that was as dangerous as that was. They just went a little lower on the pussy meter.
