Sorry Rausch. That sucks hard man.

I'd be inclined to just burn the thing down and say, "oops" when the insurance says WTF?

It's tempting.

Were it to burn down today I'd make around $15k...

Thanks. Shouldn't impact me directly, other than being stuck at home.

Time to alter the results on the masturbation poll....

I disagree. I think we could take a massive amount of rain before you could even tell it rained. I tried watering some grass and I put a shitassload of water down and you can't tell.

I'm hoping for a hurricane. We've got the wind anyway, just as well get the rain.

Rain totals now approaching 7" in some suburbs. Oak Brook with 6.69" according to Channel 5.

Please send some of that to us. San Diego has had less than that in one year. That is not a good thing.

Well, you sure as hell don't want to get it all in one day.

I do.

This country out here could take a ****load.

We still have snow on the ground. With another round of snow on Saturday. They are projecting flooding once it melts.

Almost 6" of rain in Iowa City, Ia last night. Probably the same storms that then headed to Chicago.

I've had about 2.5" here in Waterloo. I put in a sump pump in a 4ft pit, 3 years ago after my drain backed up in my basement after a torrential down pour (5" in an hour). Best thing I ever done. They cemented off the drain that was the problem and put the pump in the corner of the basement and the thing has ran like twice since they put it in. Once was last night. It is electric with a battery backup. Best money I ever spent.

I just took a drive to see if things were any better - they really aren't. The rain has stopped, but the roads are still ****ed.

Sure hope we don't get any more rain.

Made me glad I live up North in Cedar Falls. I hear CR and IA City just got hammered. And now I hear the rain ramping up again.
