So Chiefs fans are already making up excuses for when Geno fails?

He'll wash out in NY in 3 years. |

Chiefs, AZ, Philly... I honestly think Geno would be successful in those situations. It's not an excuse, it's reality. That said, I still expect Geno to succeed when he gets his opportunity. |

I think it would be better for geno to sit for a bit, but I also believe it's not nearly as bad for him as most believe. |

It's going to be the first time Mornhinweg is going to be on his own since the Lions. It'll be interesting to see how he does under Rex. The Jets haven't done a good job developing offensive talent at all.
Plus Rex is trying to win now to save his job. Not develop a QB for 3 years from now. |
Newsflash. Every QB that gets drafted 1.1 goes to complete cluster****, yet they are expected to produce. Why should it be any different for Geno who half this board thought was worth the 1.1?

Player's coach and head coach's owner=ruin.

Plus a lot of 1.1 picks go to new regimes, so they have time. The Jets are a circus with a coaching staff hanging in there just looking to save their jobs. |

The best would have been for Geno to sit for a year and possibly more, but in NY he will be expected to play right away. Seems like this whole offseason has been a quasi replay of 2009 in many respects. I didn't want Sanchez, but if we drafted him we would have needed to sit him for a year or more...but NY started him right away. At least we took an impact player at the top of the draft, though.
