Minute Maid Park (i.e. the Juice Box) is an awesome stadium.

Retractable roof, etc.

Problem is Jim Crane just bought the Astros and is a cheap son of a bitch.

There are probably bigger payrolls in the minors.

Since the product is shit no one wants to go and the ushers are being assholes.

They won't let anyone move around even though the ****ing place is empty.

So everyone said a big **** you to the Astros and is spending their money elsewhere.

No it's not. It's a reeruned piece of shit gimmick park

Wow, the trifecta of death: Frenchy, Moose and Getz all in the same lineup, and no Salvy again.

Not much you can do with that. 7-8-9-1 is punchless, although Kottaras is always good for a walk or two. Getz leading off is brutal.

Oh, and as far as the park goes, yeah, it's not the greatest, but it's much better than the old Astrodome, that's for sure.

Speaking of "reeruned piece of shit gimmicks" ... tonight's lineup, brought to you by Ned Yost.

Seriously, Getz in the leadoff spot? Why? Just... why?

Play Lough and have him lead off.

gblowfish 05-22-2013 03:14 PM

How much do we miss Salvy?

Just saying the words "Humberto Quintero" makes my nut sack pull up into my body cavity.

shudder.....

Jesus, Getz leading off?

mr. tegu 05-22-2013 03:16 PM

I for one am glad Cain isn't leading off. He has not done well batting lead off this year. In fact his batting average as the lead off hitter this season is, wait for it...

.000

Heck, batting second he isn't much better sitting at a .200 average. Clearly a guy who is better in the middle of the lineup for whatever reason.

What the hell is wrong with Minute Maid.

Granted I only see it from the photographers pits at 1st, 3rd, and either side of home plate.

Well you know Yost will mentioned that Getzy had a couple knocks the other night so he earned a shot.

mr. tegu 05-22-2013 03:18 PM

Can pitchers actually be slotted into the lineup in the AL? If so, is there a team or pitcher that has been known to do this?

gblowfish 05-22-2013 03:19 PM

Who K's the most tonight?
Frenchy?
Moose?
Cain?

My money is on Frenchy. Could be a 2 to 3 K performance.

CaliforniaChief 05-22-2013 03:19 PM

Even Bob Boone is embarrassed by this lineup.

We owe James Shields at least 6 runs tonight. At least. For the next 4-5 games to make up for the horrible run support they've given him so far.

gblowfish 05-22-2013 03:32 PM

Cain has shown a disturbing frequency of looking at strike three with men on base....
