Welcome home, Brandon Lloyd.

Yeah, I don't think so. Besides the fact he's 31 years old, he's missed all of OTA'S and training camp. It would take him half a season to get up to speed.

Yeah. Receivers never get signed this late. Great point.

Or is his tax bracket so high that he always pays the max?

I'm pretty sure rape tax is only for middle class folks

Flowers didn't give up anything ... in fact he probably benefited from it because he gets more of his yearly salary immediately instead of having to wait.

something is wrong with Lloyd

players that talented don't have trouble keeping a job unless they are assholes

Wow, actually, Lloyd is 32.

And it not a matter of players being signed this late, it's the fact that the Chiefs have receivers in place that know the system.

Furthermore, what upgrade does Lloyd provide? He's not an upgrade to Bowe, he's likely even with Avery, who's four years younger.

Outside of catastrophic injury, I just don't see him as an option.

Who else could restructure? Tamba Hali would seem to be a candidate given his high 2013 salary -- $12.25 million.

Yep. The money is the same in a restructure, its just dispursed differently. If he took a pay cut as part of it, then he would have given up something.

Chiefs have the highest salary number in the league, according to that article.

Damn you, Clark! You don't care!

O.city 09-04-2013 10:06 AM

Restructure Tamba now, then get on the phone with big Dic Seymour and have him come rush the passer in a one year deal.

How can we have the highest salary number in the league with so little elite talent?

I just looked a couple of days ago to see if Seymour was still out there. Geez, he would be a great addition.

And I like Brandon Flowers. Brandon Flowers is cool.
