also, as much as I hated last season, the three previous seasons under the former regime gave this veteran core some cajones & football IQ they never had before. it takes a lot to turn such suckage around at the NFL level. actually, the Chiefs did it quite a bit faster than other teams did in recent years, though last season was a complete loss in every way. but they had the players, just needed a QB and a staff that had a clue.

Speaking of Hali, and again, I am a guy who just started following the Chiefs this year, but hes unblockable. I cant recall ever seeing him just getting stoned.

I can recall him getting mauled repeatedly, choked, clotheslined, and held.

but, wow. Hes just a freak.

every season he has improved some part of his game. we all thought this season might show his age, but it's been the opposite, really -- he's so much smarter now, he flows to the ball with ease now. his run game is better because of this.
