Other thing to keep in mind is Peyton leans on the running game a shitload more than he has in many years. Blitzing isn't going to work. I thought we played him extremely well today. Take one broken Cooper play away and this is a stellar defensive performance, especially given the altitude.

It was still a great defensive performance. DEN O vs. KC D was a dogfight. I think the game fell to the KC O vs. the DEN D, and the DEN D won its battles for the most part.

Regarding Miller: I see him looking lost out there from time to time. It may be just the assignments that he is getting, to cover a zone and react to the play, but he will look occasionally lost to me. We'll see how that goes over the weeks. Of course the Bronco fan in me wants to say that he was busy looking for a QB and never found one...

Revenge is best served cold and I hope its a cold day in Arrowhead when they meet again in 2 weeks.

Welker made Flowers his bitch, which meant that Manning had an outlet and the Chiefs weren't able to send extra men after the QB.

ShowtimeSBMVP 11-18-2013 12:36 AM

The Bills and Browns stopped are push rush.

The score sucked for us Chief fans but it was a good game. Chiefs for the most part slowed down that epic Denver offense about as well as you could hope for.

If the Chiefs could improve their offense up to the level of a steaming pile of dog shit that has been baking in the hot summer sun for three days, then they might have a slim chance to win games like this.

Stop blaming the QB. Our receivers and offensive line are terrible.

What I saw too. This wasn't Alex Smith's fault and I'm no huge fan boy of of Smith, kinda neutral on the guy.

Oh well, we'll see these boys in Arrowhead and if we don't win that one I'll be worried. Until then Donx...

If it comes down to it homefield is gonna be huge.

You can't blitz Manning. He's too good.

Best to keep your head down and not say anything; they best us fair and square.

We've gotta come out and win at home against a bad Chargers team then try and avenge ourselves a week later against these shithead Broncos. We can also hope Tom Brady pulls out his swanging white cock and bitchslaps Denver with it next Sunday.

I'm too tired to argue with you and I'm going to bed but you cannot blitz Peyton enough.

Now I need to go to bed.

1. Beadles is one of the best guards in the NFL and stoned our guys up front. No pressure from Poe all game. (He did play the run well though.)

2. Sutton didn't blitz. Manning gets the ball out too quickly. Without safeties staying in the middle, you would have seen a bigger disparity in the score.

3. Hali and Houston did not beat the Broncos offensive tackles in one on one situations.

That was a huge problem all night. Hali and Houston lost their 1-on-1s on passing downs 95% of the time and Flowers and Cooper did as well.

Edit: Flowers did well the first half but really came unglued in the second. Cooper, I felt, did the opposite.

suzzer99 11-18-2013 01:23 AM

1 sack in the last 3 games and almost zero pressures tonight. It's problem

keg in kc 11-18-2013 01:43 AM

They weren't blitzing.

And I find it hard to criticize the decision since we held them to their lowest point total of the year.
