That's why you ask if he plays RT.

It used to be NT.

Try to keep up. :D

I like him. Always have. He's pretty good as a return man and as a receiver. He's better than Dexter McCluster, and I'm not one of the posters here who is on the "hate McCluster" bandwagon.

Yes, but he performed very well on an offense where there were not many other guys to key on.

I'm not saying bring him in as a #1, but he would be awesome in a support role.

He caught 105/151 targets, Avg. 10 yards per catch, 54 first downs, and no fumbles.

Here's PFF's top 15 FA WR's:

Name | Age | '13 | '14 | Rating | Snaps
Anquan Boldin 33 SF UFA 17.9 831
Eric Decker 27 DEN UFA 16.9 1073
Doug Baldwin 25 SEA RFA 11.0 773
Golden Tate 26 SEA UFA 11.0 790
Jerricho Cotchery 32 PIT UFA 10.3 648
Julian Edelman 28 NE UFA 8.9 1038
Jerome Simpson 28 MIN UFA 6.8 658
Robert Meachem 29 NO UFA 5.6 401
Riley Cooper 26 PHI UFA 5.3 1002
Ted Ginn 29 CAR UFA 4.4 508
James Jones 30 GB UFA 2.9 863
Damian Williams 26 TEN UFA 2.0 232
Andre Caldwell 29 DEN UFA 1.9 264
Brandon Stokley 38 BLT UFA 1.8 117
Andrew Hawkins 28 CIN RFA 1.6 124

Sorry man, I'm just not interested in him... we already have two diminutive slot types in Avery and Dex.

Dex, yes, although he is a FA as well.

Avery blows horsecock.

From what I saw he'd be as good as maclin and not injury prone. Doesn't he return on special teams for the pats? And plays backup corner.

He's a very good punt returner.

No backup corner. That's Troy Brown, who retired like 5 or more years ago. LOL.

Hey guys, check out this Scott Pioli guy's resume. I think he would be an excellent choice for new GM of the Chiefs!

I know we are all still stung by the Pioli situation, but this team needs a low priced receiver that works the underneath routes McCluster used to run.

If they sign Edleman for low cost, low years...I wouldn't be mad at all. He has good hands, quickness, runs crisp routes and is very versatile.

Less than 3 years at less than 2.5 million per and I wouldn't be pissed.

I would keep McCluster over Edelman because of punt returns. In 2013 with 35 returns Edelman had 5 fumbles. Dexter had 58 returns and 2 fumbles. Dexter also had 2 TDs with returns. Also I think McCluster is becoming a much better slot receiver and you can line him up in the backfield on occasion.

Edelman has played snaps as a slot corner for NE.

Low cost is the key. Very low cost.

And in no way should he be looked to as a solution of any kind. Hell, given what former Patriots do when they play for other teams, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he doesn't even match McCluster's level of production that he had for us in 2013.
