Not only that, we have the first pick the year after the qb, then no second rounder in the deepest draft in the last 10 years.

KCrockaholic 02-24-2014 06:05 PM

We had a crap load of picks in the 2008 draft, which was a pretty good class. Dorsey is just going to have to basically not miss on the first two picks, and maybe even the first three picks. If he misses, that's not good news because there's a ton of talent in the class.

I'm with Evans.

CaliforniaChief 02-24-2014 06:19 PM

Guys like us hear about interviews with players and think we might be interested in drafting them by moving up/down. GM's are already building files for future free agents/released guys. Never stop compiling data.

O.city 02-24-2014 06:26 PM

Not only that, but you're prolly gonna be playing against these guys at some point

Hog's Gone Fishin 02-24-2014 07:24 PM

We're finally gonna get us a great Wideout, I can just feel it.

That's the problem with having a QB who is just a "space thrower".

If they're both gone, which is very possible, I think I'd look at Pryor, or possibly even Brandin Cooks. I don't care about size, the guy can play.

Steve Smith: 5'9" 185
Brandin Cooks: 5'10" 190 (at 21)

works for me...although I don't think he'll fall that far.

Cooks might sneak into the 1st. Likely a high 2nd round pick though.

plz no more little dude receivers... especially when there are a bunch of guys above 6'1 who can run a 4.3-4.4 in this draft even in the later rounds..

Alex's track record has always been with bigger receivers.. Vernon Davis 6'3, Antonio Bryant 6'2, Michael Crabtree 6'1..

Tiny catch radius is the downside of Cooks. I would take Jordan Matthews over him, I think he's as close as you can come to Jerry Rice in terms of work ethic in WRs coming out of college these days.

separation over catch radius for our team imo

Again, my issue is that we can get 1 of 10-15 players who would end up being good/great slot guys in this draft. There are only a few realistic potential #1 wrs in this draft. The rest are 2s and slot guys. Cooks falls in the slot category.

BossChief 02-24-2014 09:25 PM

Marquis Lee is a ****ing amazing player that we would be lucky to have at 23.

That guy has game breaker written all over him.

If he can stay healthy I'd take him. If Lee wasn't injured last season then he'd be a surefire top 10 prospect

I also like Odell Beckman Jr more than Lee. Randall Cobb type player.
