Junior Hemingway stinks

I bet McCluster will be a Saint. They'll get rid of Moore and Sproyles and he'll fill the void. He never quite lived up to the hype. I was really hoping for the next Eric Metcalf. He was a decent player but not worth over paying. I'd say this definitely increases our chances of drafting a WR.

Better have the wellbye.gif on standby tomorrow

So we won't get to see Dex run straight up the middle against a stacked line on third and long anymore? Bummer-the dude was a battering ram. Like hitting the D in the face with a really stiff pillow. OUCH-that wears a team down as the game goes on.

well we are guaranteed to have at least 1 new (slot?) WR next year. It better not be Weston Dressler either lol

You're gonna get Jason Avant and like it because that's basically all we can afford

Line both him and Charles up in the backfield, have one or both split out and then get the ball to whoever the defense doesn't key on. Rinse. Repeat. Profit. |
Source: Chiefs’ Dexter McCluster to sign elsewhere in free agency
March 10 BY TEREZ A. PAYLOR The Kansas City Star It appears Chiefs receiver Dexter McCluster’s run in Kansas City will soon end. A person with knowledge of the situation told The Star on Monday that McCluster, who is a free agent, will not return to the Chiefs. He has four or five interested teams and likely will sign elsewhere Tuesday night, when NFL free agency officially begins. A spokesman for the Chiefs had no comment. McCluster’s loss would leave a void at punt return and in the slot. He’s coming off the best year of his career, as he made the Pro Bowl due to his contributions on special teams. He returned 58 punts for 686 yards and two touchdowns in 2013, and also had the most productive season of his career as a receiver, catching 53 passes for 511 yards and two touchdowns, all career highs. The Chiefs currently have a handful of players with punt-return experience under contract for 2014, including running back Joe McKnight, who was signed in January, and former CFL star receiver Weston Dressler, who was signed in February.
