Those RB seam tosses are a thing of beauty.

I'd like to see more of those, specifically with Jamaal.

weird that the 5th RB is featured more in the gameplan than our $26-million dollar #1 receiver

Not when your wr is more associated with weed than catching footballs

Yes. Charles/Davis/McKnight/Kelce down the seam would all be good things for this team.

Anybody check out the Jet's board to see if they're crying?

Never understood why he couldn't stick on a roster anywhere.

Yeah I anytime I saw him on the Jets (which was only a few times) he seemed to be a pretty good player.

If he gets in space....he's dang good. Not as good between the tackles.

Chiefs=Champions 09-22-2014 08:21 AM

Good on the lad. Played a heck of a game. Not sure what happens to those touches when DAT and Charles get back on the field though. I suspect they will take a majority.

Which is why he's effective in the pass game.

chief4life 09-22-2014 08:37 AM

Where is Albert Wilson is he hurt? It showed he practiced all week must of been on the inactive list which makes no since. Hopefully the put him on the active list this week against the patriots. Rather him return kickoffs then Frankie Hammond. Plus I would love to see DAT come back for Monday Night Football :thumb:

Trade his ass as soon as you can. Try to anyway because for us he is worthless and clearly does not give two Damns about being good.

From what I can gather on Joe McKnight, there were several things that led to him not working out for the Jets.

1. The Jets at some point tried to pull a KC Chiefs and bring a guy in who plays one position, and then try to shoehorn him into another one. McKnight, clearly suited to play HB/KR/PR was thrust into the Jets secondary as a prospect for CB. Didn't work.

2. McKnight wasn't in the best physical shape. The running joke is that if McKnight had to do anything physically strenuous, he would need to puke afterwards.

3. McKnight had injuries pretty often that held him back from practices, and games. He has the physical talents, but often struggled with the mental aspect of the game. The only way to get better at that is with reps, and you don't get reps if your ass is in the trainers room.

Andy Reid touched on a few of these things in his post game press conference, talking about the reason we hadn't seen McKnight to this point, and the reason was basically that he wasn't ready. He had some injury issues he was working through, and trying to get back into football shape.

Reid said that after one of McKnight's TD's yesterday, he said to him as he came to the sideline "You're back."

Im glad the guy is getting another shot. He made some good plays for us in that game, and the WCO is suited perfectly for a guy who can do what he can do out of the backfield. I would say that if anyone had to take their pads off in order for him to see the field, it should be Dwayne Bowe.

With Bowe's suspension lifting the guarantee off of some of the cash in his contract, he needs to be jettisoned after this season. Apparently Bowe just doesn't mesh well with the WCO, or he simply doesn't give a shit after he got paid.

When a guy like McKnight can come out of nowhere and put up more plays and TDs than your bloated contract WR, that receiver needs to GTFO.

Sandy Vagina 09-22-2014 09:32 AM

someone elsewhere asked me how McKnight was used, so I went back and noted this. Figured I may as well share it here too.

1st catch was as a RB in the backfield on a swing pass with WRs blocking ahead.
2nd catch was as a RB in the backfield and he ran out on a short post route. (what I would call more like an old circle route)
3rd catch was as the slot WR.. good job fighting off the DB press.
4th catch was as RB lined up next to AS11 in Shotgun.. ran another short post for the TD catch.
5th catch was a far wide WR quick-throw screen for McKnight.
(on the 3rd and 2, their 14 mil per year WR drops a quick slant, derp derp)
6th catch McKnight used in motion, and was a yard in the backfield (just wide of the RT and inside of the slot WR) as the ball was snapped.. ran a quick out and TD!
