That might be true, but what makes you think that they'll do it?

To the Chiefs, "Toss it around" = pass to Kelce over the middle and screen passes

Hopefully Bowe will get more than 1 and his trade value will be something . Sure takes the Chiefs a long time to recognize the lack of performance is a bad thing and move on.

Put Megatron in his place.

Still 0 TD.

yep....and people were pissed at Emmanuel Sanders.

KC is a place where WR's come to die.

Let's see....go with Peyton, have a career year, pro bowl, and your stock goes sky high for your next contract........OR

Go to KC, and run what essentially amounts to 45 dummy routes a game??

Tough choice.

Alex - much like Cassel - has terrible field vision, and a so-so arm, and the fear of ever causing a turnover......not a good combo if you're a WR.

There is a **** ton of truth to this. It starts with the QB, and we have a very marginal one as our starter. Who ****ing cares if we make the playoffs this year? Our inability to get the ball down-field makes us a 1st rd loss no matter whom we play.

WTF?

Cassel didn't fear causing a turnover. Cassel turned the ball over ALL THE TIME. He just got lucky in 2010, because charlie weis protected him with playcalling. That was the exception, not the rule. He had 16 picks and 14 fumbles in 2009. He led the NFL in turnovers when he was injured in 2011, and he led the NFL in turnovers when he was benched for the final time in 2012. He was on pace for 40 turnovers in 2012. It's one of the reasons he sucked, and it's certainly one thing he and Smith do not have in common.

may be - and I am a bit near-sighted - but over nearly a decade, the name on the back of the jersey may have changed, but the QB for the chiefs has remained essentially the same.

I don't agree.

I think Alex is a very middling QB. He strong points are boring, and he's weak at everything that makes a QB exciting. He's certainly too expensive for the return. He's a frustrating QB to watch, but he's not Matt Cassel. Alex Smith won't win games for you, but Matt Cassel LOST GAMES because he was goddamn awful. I mean the hat gif is popular, but did people forget the game losing play he had right before that pathetic hat incompletion? He threw an INT on a screen pass that lost the game.

Alex is a helluva long way from my ideal QB, but he's much better than a turnover machine like Matt Cassel.

I respect your opinion - and of course there will be differences. And with a gun to my head, I would choose Alex over Cassel.

But at the end of the day, those two QBs are on the same tier of QBs to me.

Low-end QB1 to high-end QB2.

I dunno man...as much as I gripe about Alex, I feel that he is a SIGNIFICANT upgrade over Cassel. (and that's not saying much, but still)

I mean cmon man:

Best case scenario in my opinion: we don't score a single WR TD to close this regular season.

We make the playoffs anyway.

Alex's balls drop in the Wild Card round and our WRs catch more TD passes than any other team in the postseason.

Just troll the shit out of the league..

TEX 12-17-2014 11:21 AM

I voted yes, and I think it will be Wilson.

Hootie 12-17-2014 11:23 AM

I hope not, and I hope we miraculously make the playoffs doing so.

Can't wait to travel up to Indy and get raped again!!!!!!!

It'll be like the movie Groundhog's Day!

We will never get that playoff win if we aren't in the playoffs in the first place.

Getting tired of this "I don't want us to go to the playoffs because we will lose" mantra on CP. :shake:
