My questions for you all are:
1. If certain posters don't want to participate, do Flop and I force them?
2. We would do this monthly, utilizing a poll. Is that amicable or should we go less/more punishment?
3. If a poster gets this award multie times in a year, is there a more severe penalty we'd agree on?
4. I would like a different poster to run the event each month. Handling the nominations for dumbass threads, etc. I can sticky the nomination thread if you'd like.
5. Floppy and I would have the overall authority/final judgment if things get stupid or if we can't agree...(but only if needed).
Btw: it wouldnt necessarily have to be just three participants each month. We can go up to five or seven if needed. Up to you all. Rainman is good at organizing pole.

I just want to drop my two cents in as to what prompted the proposal so that everyone knows where it was coming from. It's mainly guys like Inmen who believe a thread is warranted every time they fart. For example, rather than entering one of the 13 other Alex debate threads on the front page Sunday, he created an entirely new thread just to mention that Alex did not have a 300 yard game. It seems to be a trend with him. When the idea popped in my head, I had just left a meaningless MTG thread, and clicked right into yet another worthless Inmen thread. The post started out as a joke, but yeah, by the time I finished it I thought it was a cool idea.
It would be amusing to see guys like that get a slap on the hand for littering the front page with trash.
However, some other guys in this thread have made solid points. If it's going to take anything of substance away from the board or wrongly punish guys like Direckshun, then perhaps the idea should be scrapped.
