I guess it all depends on the circumstances. If Reid gets fired, most likely they start over with someone new. But if he retires, I could see them promoting the former head coach on staff....Childress.

Reid is never getting fired in KC. He will ride out in the sunset here like Vermeil.

Hopefully this time the Chiefs don't follow it up with a Herm the Germ like coach.

He could get fired at some point, but not likely to happen any time soon. And if he is fired, it seems unlikely they would give the job to one of his cronies rather than start fresh.

I call BS. Reid in on the line. He is making calls. Even if its Pederson, he is calling plays most of the time that Reid wants. Reid is his boss, the boss decides direction and the execution of the playbook.
