Yeah that's great except for the fact that Chip is the guy who traded Foles and two draft picks to get him.

Wow, crazy. I remember wanting Kelly #1 and Reid #2.

Thanks Clark.

If you wanted to be a jerk, you could probably dig up some hilarious posts from that time frame. I think there were a lot of people who were more excited by him than Reid because he was an unknown.

I do think college coaches can succeed in the NFL, but guys who run a gimmick like Kelly don't excite me. I wouldn't be excited by him if I was a fan of another team.

Texas State and Ball State.

I don't think his coaching was the problem. I really think his offense is viable at the NFL level.

Personnel wise - what a mother****ing trainwreck.

No ****ing kidding. Having the kind of offense he runs with weapons like Jackson, Maclin, and Mccoy would've been a defensive nightmare. Still can't fathom how they managed to get rid of all 3 of them.

When will owners learn that personnel and coaching is just too much responsibility for one person? Especially to Andy Reid's successor and someone with 0 playoff wins?

TribalElder 12-29-2015 06:50 PM

At least he cleaned out all the talent before leaving

notorious 12-29-2015 06:51 PM

Another coach that would have been better off just coaching.

mdchiefsfan 12-29-2015 06:54 PM

Honestly, I'm bummed. Watching the Eagles' personnel moves made the offseason quite entertaining.

You'll be missed, Chip!!

This. In college that offense doesn't need superior talent to win. In the NFL player talent is much more important.

Andy Reid's reaction to the news…

Bradford didn't even have his best w/l record in philadelphia.

Kelly's a putz as far as nfl coaching goes. His gameday coaching was often laughably bad.

kcpasco 12-29-2015 06:58 PM

I still can't believe he wasn't immediately fired after the Bradford trade.

scho63 12-29-2015 06:59 PM

Why not wait until the end of the season to fire him unless he had some contractual bonus for each complete season.

Very strange to fire just before last game.

TLO 12-29-2015 06:59 PM

I honestly have nothing to say. Nothing.
