My thoughts exactly.

I have extreme acrophobia and that one wouldn't bother me. My bff up in Illinois pays about 6k every year to get her place decorated and I think it is stupid as hell.

Really, who gives a shit? If you do, why? I hang lights when I feel like, for myself.

Not as young or flexible as I used to be. Above the garage is a steep pitch.

I thought you didn't want to do the highest peak. The peak above the garage should not be bad. I have a peak above a bedroom that high and it's on a slope that I have to put boards under the ladder to get close to level, it's a little shaky but not too bad.

Put up once yourself and never take down.

This reminds me of when my wife and I bought our second house. It was similar, high peaks etc. I got a hair up my ass to hang lights so I went out and bought a shit load. Had to climB onto the roof for the first time and walked to the top and looked down and was like fu******* this. Those lights are still in storage somewhere. LMAO.

I'm not sure why, but it seems like paying someone to put your Christmas lights up is cheating.

Dayze 10-15-2016 09:25 PM

I'd be willing to pay for some sort of hypnosis or time travel to completely zip past thanksgiving and Christmas and right to March/April. I loathe the holidays and winter. Completely pain in the ass. Lol.

Honestly if you have a fear of heights just be safe and pay someone to hang them. Dont take the chance on freezing up a fall of 6 feet can kill of maim. My sisters brother in law fell off a ladder and died its just not worth it let a professional take the risk. te second story peaks what ladders and scaffolding do you have to get that job done. also the steep pitch of the roof will you be ok with it. I have been contracted to layout steel for to modern highrise in KC both ovedr 40 story trust when someone freezes up its not fun and is dangerous to them and you. So I wont call anyone a pussy to pay to have it done. think twice and tie off.

Wait, you said you have children?

This is the perfect job for them. Isn't that why you have kids anyway?
