He's never been a head coach at any level and he's not a "sexy" hire.

He's been a Special Teams coordinator since 2004 and was nothing more than a Strength and Conditioning coach before that.

His resume doesn't pass muster for a team looking for a savior, let alone, a $4 million dollar per year deal.

The Bills can't hire a savior. It's toxic.

They're going to have to settle for a potential diamond-in-the-rough bargain, or they will have to settle.

Nobody wants to coach in Buffalo. Toub could be a real option there.

I'm not sure if Toub deserves consideration or not. I know he's a great ST coach but I'm not qualified to speak to his ability to be more.

I do think that organizations get caught up in choosing guys based on name. Hot coordinators and retread coaches. I'm not sure STs coaches, even great ones, have the headline appeal that attracts many front offices.

Andy Reid is the only guy another team would want.

No. Do superstar players ever become head coaches??

They don't have to, so they don't

I bet Eric Bieniemy will get HC interviews.

I think he'd be a good hire for somebody, too...hopefully we can keep him.

You're right he'd never coach but I could see him getting an elway like role with someone.

Would be kind of surprising. Running game hasn't exactly been a strength this year.

Imo that's more on Andy Heck and the Oline than the RBs

Our offense line hasn't been polished for the last several seasons. At least we are much better at handling stunts this year. Alex Smith has less than 3 seconds to throw the ball and our run blocking is really weak.

Maybe part of that is because of our offense. When an entire defense can line up within 10 yards of the LoS because they aren't worried about explosive plays it makes it harder to block.

One of my favorite plays Sunday was a third down where a lb blitzed up the middle and ware picked him up. Smith didn't flinch and stood directly behind ware waiting for kelce to get open and we got the first down.
