I was considering not even showing up to the game. I mean who cares about football, right? I could be doing something fun, such as buying bread at Wal Mart. But then I heard that James Harrison said this...and wow. I'm sure going to play hard now! |
He's being sarcastic but he's not exactly wrong. The Chiefs didn't even get off the bus the first time they played.

I think the media makes more of these type of things than the players. It is obvious the Steelers have zero respect for the Chiefs and are looking past this game to NE. It starts with coaching. Last game after the first Pitt. score-dickface goes for 2. To me that show shows little respect for the Chiefs defense. We know Haley has no respect for the Chiefs or the fans in KC. So I think the Steelers players just take on that arrogant attitude as well. I am sure they are all pumped up after beating a hapless Dolphin team at home and just look at KC the same way. Easy pickings-all they have to do is show up and they move on. |

And I find it funny you specifically picked a defensive lineman for your example - one of two positions notorious for guys taking plays off and not giving max effort (the other being WR). |

J Houston is a beast against the run, probably the most underrated part of his game because everyone focuses on his sacks. |

I get Loochy's point that if these guys aren't already motivated then nothing will motivate them. Still, if you don't think that an opponent disrespecting them adds a little extra motivation then you have not been watching football (or sports, in general) very long. The Tampa game is not a good example. That game (as well as the Titans game) was a classic trap game before a big game against a division rival, followed by a game at last year's NFC champ. Not to mention that was Houston's first game back and he was just getting his feet under him. Also, no Peters.

Thought this guy succumbed to CTE a few years back.

Honestly, I think he is just parroting what Tomlin probably said.. something like, "Forget we played them already.. they are a different team."
Tomlin probably was saying to not overlook the Chiefs just because they killed us earlier this year. That is really how I read it. |

**** JAMES HARRISON'S BITCH ASS!!!!! BRING IT BITCH!!!!! **** ANY NICE THINGS TOMLIN (aka Omar Epps) says. **** THESE PUNK ASS MOFOS!!!! HARRISON, IT'S ON BITCH!!!! |
Harrison is old and slow at this point, but he is still a powerful sumbitch and always brings a bad attitude... and as others have pointed out, their entire defense is going to come out and immediately attempt to bully the hell out of us
There will be cheap shots I want Andy Heck to line our O linemen up right before the game, give them each 5-6 of these and talk some shit about their moms... I want to see anger and bad intentions from that group <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ruh4_xud37c" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
