If we can just build the top D in the league along with the best oline and rushing attack, oh and if we can just muster one measly D/ST score each week I dont see why we cant go all the way with Alex Smith, none whatsoever.

Many of us have said it before, the Chiefs love doing it the hard way. I think Andy is so full of himself as a play schemer he believes he can do it without a franchise QB.

You can try to build an ALL PRO team and try to win with an average QB or you can try to acquire an franchise QB and try win with an average team, but if you have a franchise QB your already 3/4 of the way there, you dont have to be tops in the league everywhere else.

Landing a franchise QB is easier said than done, but if the goal is to compete and win for championships its really the only option. The talent you need across the board to compensate for an average QB is unrealistic to obtain.
