Did anybody see a report from Ian Rapoport that said the chiefs have a deal in place with Hightower? I just seen it on his feed but haven't seen anything else from anyone else.

why in the world would we draft heavy on D when its by far the best unit (I keep hearing top 5 or top 10 for sure) and is always winning games for us already?

Makes no sense

With our QB situation offense will not get us anything but a few thrills. Despite 12 wins our defense was far from dominating. It's our best shot in the near future to make it better to have a shot at a title. Our run defense sucks. Hali is old. DJ is old. Poe is history and we need another corner opposite Peters. OL and defense is what our direction should be in the draft.

Chris Ballard made a really interesting comment at the combine. "People go crazy in March during free agency, but I think from September to November is the best time to get players."

That's when we signed Terrance Mitchell, who looks as good as most FA's being available this month.

Chiefs don't need to do much of anything this month. Terrance Mitchell acquisition, getting Houston/Howard/Bailey back and having 10 picks in the draft seems lie enough for us to get even better next year.
