What about Conley and RNR?

I thought they both looked great

If it weren't for the bs penalty, Conley would've finished with 3 rec for 135 yards and a TD

Conley was really impressive.

At this point we may not see much Kpassagnon this year. With the way Jones, Bailey, RNR, and Jenkins are playing, he'll be our 5th DE.[/QUOTE]

I think he's turns out to be great depth initially and when you think about how many dl the Chiefs went thru last year he could get a lot of work.

West didn't impress anybody on Friday.

I think west ran into the same problems hunt did. Backup ol run blocking is pure shit. If we get the west we saw late last year on fresh legs as our #3, I'm not worried.

Kevin Pierre-Louis blocked a punt and I hope if he can continue to do that it becomes a thing.

I disagree here a bit.

Fulton's a quality backup at guard and an even better backup center. It's possible that they could lose both starting guard (like they did against the Texans in Week 2 last year), but it's unlikely.

I need to take a little closer look at tackle, although Jah Reid is absolutely horrible on the edge. He's not terrible inside at guard but he can't cut it on the edge.

Also, while certainly wouldn't be ideal to lose starting tackle, I think some of that would be minimized by playing next to a true starter in LDT or Wiztmann/Ehinger as opposed to a guy that will be out of work in a few weeks.

Plus, Andy Reid's lost plenty of starting lineman the past few seasons and has been able to scheme around those loss(es).

Our d-line is stacked and with a healthy Houston and Dee Ford quarterbacks are going be ****ed.

I need to re-watch. I failed to record the entire game yesterday but it's set to record tonight at 8:30 so if I don't doze off, I'll more thoughts tomorrow.

I'd hate to do anything to screw with LDT and the strides he's taken at guard, but the Chiefs might want to consider working him at tackle.

He has the athleticism to play there, and the backups here are just horrible.

True, he and Ehinger, who played tackle in college would be candidates, at OT. I think Mitch Morse would get a shot, too.

But with that said, I don't have high hopes for Ehinger's availability this season due to the late November 2016 ACL surgery.

If he's available though, his presence makes the offensive line depth that much better.

Poe seemed non-existant

MahiMike 08-13-2017 03:52 PM

Thought Seantavius looked good. The play where he came back for the ball was great. Something the old #81 would never do.

Kman34 08-13-2017 04:01 PM

I think Hunts inability to get many reps a RB is due to the need to get better at pass protection.... Andy likes RBs who are proficient blockers...

Pure speculation

RNR is so much improved. Honestly our DL is stacked! Bausby made some good plays I thought. I think he makes the team.

JakeF 08-13-2017 04:05 PM

Team was so sloppy it was hard to judge it completely

RB don't look like anything special
Other than Tyreek, our WR group lacks explosion
Oline depth is garbage

I focused more on offense, need to watch it again for defense.

At first glance, depth at CB looked weak. Gaines hurt again?
Sutton drops into such a prevent D that 3rd and long is such a problem for us
I can't believe that DJ is ready to go
Staying healthy on defense is a huge priority
