Yes when we failed to score more than 10 points on offense* vs their 28 Hill Mary not included, than
They looked pretty dammed good with 4TDs and being able to walk the ball down the field and scoring all 4 TDs in the Red Zone

Sun, Oct 1
DCB vs Los Angeles L35-30

DCB vs Green Bay L35-31

Why does everyone not want to give our offense credit for the "Hill Mary" at the end of the half? I get it that our offense looked like complete garbage for much of the game, but that play was perfectly executed from the time Alex threw the pass until Hill crossed the goal line.

The lengths some of you dumbasses go to discredit Alex Smith? :shake:

If we're to the point where we consider conceding 28 points a solid defensive performance then we aren't going anywhere. Cowboy's have scored 28pts in 6 of 8 games, as the 29th ranked defense, I was happy with the Chief's defense. That is terrible defense. It's like being content an offense only scores 17. Not horrible, but not championship level. We lost every game (2), we have played that we didn't score 24 points or more a game.

The only reason this season isn't worse is because Smith balled out. But we must accept that Smith was never built to win shootout after shootout. He's a placeholder. This defense is giving up upwards of 23ppg. And we have Alex at quarterback. Not a Superbowl recipe

Actually our opposing team PPG was lower than 23PPG and because of our last 4 games PPG keeps getting higher. Our last 3 games our PPG was 26 and 4 games back it was 22. We have not been a team which stops the scoring of the other team but one that scores more than they do. Recently our scoring PPG was 34 4 weeks back and is now 28 with the last 3 games at 25.3PPG.

So IMFHO the problem is not the defense as much as it is the offense, Add 9 points to our scoring and our problems go away as we would be 8-1. which if I do say so is pretty ****ing respectable.

Read the title?

Pretty much this. When the OL blocked, the Offense looked good. When the DL didn't get butt raped, the D did good.

We need to get healthy over the bye. Have the chance to get the starting OL back going forward which will improve the running game, and stop Alex from getting killed.

The defense is concerning, but I hope we can adjust to stop the run.

I don't call stopping the run the biggest problem Alex11 has failed to consistently keep putting up points. I said we must score 4td (1 per quarter ) to win in the NFL.

Dallas did just that and we didn't. When we did FG and D and ST's added on to that making an nice average of 34 points a game. Do you understand the principal? either we stop the other team from scoring or we score more. Our defense is not the slacker from which the bar was set.

It's no secret that the Chiefs are soft.

The defense did better than the Rams, Green Bay,Redskins, Cards, and 49ers did as they all allowed 28 points or more. We in turn did not score anywhere near our averages.

If that's the plan we better fix this line now.

You look around the league and the young QB's that were successful early like Dak and Wentz had very good lines in front of them.

its easier to fix an o-line than get top shelf secondary players and LB's.

We held Zeke under his average per game.

Problem was a very average Dallas D held us below our average PPG...

Chiefs offense: #2 in total yards / #2 in passing yards / #7 in rushing yards / #5 in points scored

Chiefs defense: #31 in yards allowed / #30 against the pass / #31 against the run / #20 in points allowed

Even healthy our line is very mediocre run blocking and pretty poor pass blocking. And that's with an elusive and scrambling QB that can avoid sacks when the pocked breaks down...

He only seemed elusive in the beginning of the 3rd quarter... I guess next you're going to tell be he threw a 56 yard bomb for a TD?ROFLROFLROFLROFL

I have been of the opinion that our defense has been the biggest factor in our recent losses.

However yesterday, our defense actually played fairly well, especially in limiting Elliot's damage. Our offense was responsible for repeatedly putting our defense back on the field.

Poor QB play, dumb penalties and poor play calling on offense was the major contributor to that loss.

This team was established as an offense-first team. The offense has failed to live up to it's end of the bargain in 2 of the last 3 losses.

He didn't?...

BryanBusby 11-06-2017 10:52 AM

Giving up nearly 30 points isn't what I would call a good Defensive day.

They would of been gashed for more if Dak were a little more on the mark. Even with that, Terrance Williams deep dicked them for almost 150.

Holding an elite offense under 30 at home is acceptable. It's 2017, not 1990.

The MVP-led top-ranked offense needs to do it's part.

Yeah, what he said... Wait there are nude women's pics on CP?

You must be thinking of the Ex wifey. You can call her anything you want. I doubt you could offend her if you tried. She taught Kindergarten, she's heard them all.

My lord we played a difficult schedule. Nobody in the modern NFL goes undefeated. Really, really good playoff teams go into the playoffs with 3-4 losses.

I mean I don't know how you guys do it. How do you come home every night to that fat ugly wife of yours and not just kill youself right there? Oh that's right, we have boobie thread on the planet. Nevermind.

We are fine.
We will make the playoffs.
We will get better defensively (been tinkering)
Just need to be healthy come playoff time.
