In contrast, the AFC has been a total joke in Brady's career. It's been the Patriots, Steelers and Peyton Show with occasional cameo appearances by the Ravens.

I think teams were better then. Athletes are bigger faster stronger today but with the extra practices teams executed better than today. But you can't really knock someone because of their level of competition. It's not like they are fighters and pick their opponents. I always thought montana was the best but have to say brady if I use the same criteria I used to pick montana.

Montana playoff finish every year in San Francisco

1981. Won SB 26-21
1982. None
1983. L 21-24 to WSH
1984. Won SB 38-16
1985. L 3-17 NYG
1986. L 3-49 NYG
1987. L 24-36 MIN
1988. Won SB 20-16
1989. Won SB 55-10
1990. L 13-15 NYG

So Montana won the NFC 4 times but was owned by the Giants and their mediocre quarterbacks

Yes, but that Giants defense was loaded. Brady would have pissed his pants and curled up into the fetal position if he had to play against those guys under 1980s rules. He's used to the glorified flag football league where defense isn't allowed - and he still gets coddled by the refs more than any other QB in this soft era.

After his bitching to Kraft got them to trade Jimmy Grapes because Tom wanted to keep playing, it would be the biggest dick move ever to retire.

If there wasn't a bad rift before, there probably is now. Brady should be ****ing pissed at the entire defensive side of the ball, all the way up to Belicheck. Throwing for 505 yards and 3 touchdowns against that monstrous defense, and they lose?

Who was going to beat the 85 bears? 86 was Lawrence Taylor's best season.
There were more good teams when montana played but that's not brady's fault. I say to any chief's fan who is skeptical Who's track record would you want as a qb? I'll take the one with the most SBs for my team any day of the week.

KCrockaholic 02-05-2018 09:58 AM

I think it's time for the AFC to be ran by Mahomes, Watson, Carr, and Luck as it should be for the next 10 years. I'm sick of Ben and Tom now.

RippedmyFlesh 02-05-2018 10:03 AM

So brady is 1-1 when down 8 at the end of SBs the last 2 years. How well do some other qbs playing today do under those circumstances? I only hope Mahomes is as good given the chance.

MahiMike 02-05-2018 10:04 AM

Just like Peyton, was hoping for 1 last win so both Tom and Bill would retire. But since no guarantees, **** em. I'm soooo glad they lost.

Pasta Little Brioni 02-05-2018 10:07 AM

Not hard to play when his line NEVER gets called for holding. Even against elite pass rushers. Defense can't sniff his receivers on third down or its flag city. Pathetic.

thegame214 02-05-2018 10:15 AM

We will miss Brady's dominance years from now. Patriots are a hateable team but since 2001 have been THE team to beat. What a legacy.

Are they really going to put a 41 year old on the field? I realize he was good this season but it all comes crashing down in a hurry for athletes. In a New York minute he will suck ass next season. Right around November he will hit a wall.
