Stock up:
- Chad Henne, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Kareem Hunt, Tremon Smith, Armani Watts, Ben Nieman, Gehrig Dieter, Derrick Nnadi Stock down: - Cameron Erving, Sammy Watkins, David Amerson, Leon Mcquay, Ukeme Eligwe, Terrance Smith * Pass protection was much better than last week, but run blocking was pedestrian. * Watkins looked disinterested and had questionable effort both on the INT and the end zone pass breakup. * Eligwe and Smith were garbage. Hitchens and Ragland can’t play soon enough... * Tremon Smith should challenge to start as a nickel corner at minimum. Outside of Fuller, the rest of the secondary look like journeyman. I am fearing news that Berry won’t be ready to start the season, and Watts and Murray are too raw to control the middle. Amerson has bad technique, Nelson tackles but does not cover. Veach needs to bring one if not two secondary contributors in to shore up the back end. *Not seeing enough pass rush generated from the starters. |
Agreed about Nelson, he has the want to but lacks the talent... jag, IMO

I feel good about Williams and Nnadi on the Dline. Erving is obviously a weak link on the Oline. Nelson and Amerson are ok but you need a better #2 CB if you want to have a top D. |
I think if we had Peters and Fuller that Nelson would be fine. I think he is a decent 3. An average nickel back. It's just a lot of pressure on the secondary when we have nothing at the 2 and average at the 3.
I guess he just doesn't close well. He always seems to be on his guy but just not enough to break the play up. He has the capability of having good games though. |
