That inj looked unbelievably painful...ugh.

The rods/pins etc....that pic of him visiting (Wash Wizards lockeroom was it?) very hard to look at.

Dude's made his money and has played in the league longer than 95% of most players do, should hang 'em up even if he's able to come back and play. No need to risk it...being able to walk and bone your hot ass wife is much more important than a game.

Sucks to hear. He was never going to do anything special after KC anyways, but he's a good guy.

Proud to have had a man of his character play for the Chiefs.

Best trade the Chiefs ever made besides getting Mahomes from Buffalo.

Marcellus 03-21-2019 02:29 PM

That sucks for Alex, he was a class act but he is set for life.

$70MM from the Redskins to play how many games?

38yrsfan 03-21-2019 02:53 PM

Chief's can use him on the staff. Smart man, lots of good qualities.

dlphg9 03-21-2019 03:00 PM

Let's stop this Alex got Mahomes ready. He didn't. Yeah im sure he was nice to him, but he didn't do anything thatchelped Mahomes become what he has become. The only thing he did was make sure we lost against the Titans.

Yay! More front page stink-bait for Sandy Vagina and crew!

Fantastic work, Penbrook!

He did good to ca$h in while he still could

Megatron96 03-21-2019 03:12 PM

That's sad but not unexpected news. I was watching that game when it happened, and I told my brother after watching the replay that he'd never play another game.

I don't know if he'll try to re-enter the game in some capacity, but I believe he'd make a really good QB coach, with his attention to detail, positive attitude, and his obviously solid preparation skills.

InChiefsHeaven 03-21-2019 03:16 PM

Good luck Alex, no hard feelings. Dude made the Chiefs respectable again, and after the 2012 season from hell, he made me believe we had a future again. Not in the SB, but he was the best transitional guy we had since Trent.

I don't see him doing booth stuff. He's got a good mind, maybe as some kind of coordinator or something if he wants to stay with football. Otherwise, I'm sure the dude will come up with a way to lead a happy and productive life after football.

God Speed Alex. Thanks for the effort.

That’s a testament to make it through the shit he had there. Hope he enjoys the rest of his game.

Smith is proof that going first in the draft is often a curse.
