Oh, Rainman...you're cute.

CP is built upon a few principles...one of which is never, ever, reading the article.

I want to APOLOGIZE to all the Lounge, I don't know how the DC gimp got out. I will immediately summon Clay to banish him once more.

Do you do science experiments looking for magnetic sand?

Uh, it is SoFi stadium and California. Explain to us all why we should be surprised or more importantly give a shit.

dlphg9 09-07-2022 06:36 PM

Lmao, sucks for them. Tomorrow has a forecasted high of 97 and I'm sure the passive cooling doesn't do well in that heat. After Friday it's beautiful weather.

Much of the Miami stadium has shade for the fans, but I don't think Tampa does.

And conditions on/near the coast can really be effected by what type, if any, ocean breeze they get.

As the article on SoFi talks about.

They only need everyone in the state to unplug their electric cars during the game. No big deal.

But in all seriousness, did everyone read the article? It seems to indicate that they use passive cooling techniques.

I read this:

The outdoor temperatures could resemble those on the field as the $5 billion does not have air conditioning.

Really poorly designed stadium. There's some serious corrupt people that made money off this monstrosity

I've seen that bastard sitting in his office...

talking on the phone to the C.E.O.s, spinnin' a ****in' menorah.

I hope the heat draws in a meteor and takes both teams out.

I've lived in LA 22 years. We've had thunder at least once the maybe 4 out of the last 5 years. But yeah maybe 2 times I can think of before that.

Supposedly a storm is coming this Saturday, which never happens this time of year.

Typically when it's hot on the coast it's due to Santa Ana conditions. Meaning the hot air is blowing in from the Deserts traveling over the mountains, compressing and getting hotter as it blows down and out to sea.

Not going to get a cooling effect in that stadium when the wind is blowing out to sea.

Right now it's still and humid. 59% humidity in Redondo Beach where I live. I guess a hurricane is coming to Mexico and we're getting the edge of it.

CA had a record setting heat wave yesterday. Sacramento, for instance, hit 116, the highest temperature for the city ever recorded.

No rolling blackouts.

I'm sure you're terribly disappointed.
