As someone who lives nearby I want to let all the naysayers that think it makes little to no sense, that they are very correct.

While I agree with you, Branson makes no sense and bitches love Branson.

Branson seems like a better location with kc, St. Louis and Tulsa to pull from. Vinita Oklahoma is close to Tulsa sort of. I would think shitty land in souther Oklahoma like hochatown would be better to pull Texans up and inbreeders out of Arkansas.

Disneyland fits in Disneyworlds parking lot.

Mega attraction has power.
Middle attraction will attract the same people Dollywood attracts.

NE Oklahoma is close to Northwest Arkansas which is an incredibly booming area. If they capitalize on the anti-disney hate they may be onto something.

It's definitely not something I would be interested in but I could see a way it could work. When I've been to Branson I really was bored. Tons of things to do, nothing you want to do.

"Ugh, where!? Yeah, sure, we'll get back to you on that one."

If you have $2b, aren't there a lot better ways to invest it?

I'm not so sure, giving heartlanders and southerners a less-expensive option than Disney seems viable. Takes advantage of all the vacationers (2mm?) at Grand Lakes Lakes nearby, and is close enough to Branson that RVers can make a pretty nice vacation of it. Plus it has the advantage of drawing top employees from Deer Lick, Cleora, and Bernice.

I would be hesitant to invest $2bb in anything in tornado alley though.

I'll take my kids to this. I'm just wondering what the price will be.

This is also the weirdest damn place to put this thing, but it's only like a 2 hr drive, so I'm not gonna complain.

Just trying to think of all amusement parks within a few hours. Silver dollar city, worlds of fun, 6flags at Louis and Dallas (st Louis was a shit hole the last time I was there) and the small one in okc.

Lots of good information in this video. This thing sounds pretty legit as far as taking a big swing. Lots of former Disney imagineers on this project and companies that build and design for Universal and Disney. And make no mistake Disney, especially Disney World is having attendance issues and it’s not really due to woke. The last few years they have taken a lot of anti consumer steps that are starting to take effect.

This video has me wondering if this could have been in Kansas given the sole investor and founder is from Kansas and he started his empire in Kansas with Pizza Hut franchising. But apparently Kansas came after him for taxes to the tune of 42.5 million, which he paid, but then on appeal he won back 63 million from the state. Certainly possible it didn’t affect his location choice but also could have.
