Yeah, it's a constant question and frustration.

When I was at Mizzou, I dated a member of the gymnastics team. She complained a lot about the gym times they got, and meal times, and how football and men's hoops got whatever they wanted.

I didn't say anything. (I was an idiot back then, but I wasn't THAT big an idiot).

But I thought about her when I saw the stuff from the Oregon athletes suing about uneven NIL division last week. She's not the only female college athlete I've talked to who complained about what football and men's hoops get vs. female athletes or non-revenue athletes (just the only one I know... intimately), so I think there are some who either don't care or don't realize that their sport only exists because those athletes play sports that generate interest and revenue for everyone else.

"I dated a college gymnast and told her to stop complaining..."

Yeah - I don't figure anyone is THAT stupid.

No complaints here. We had a good time. She was about a year out from retirement and the hormones her training had previously suppressed came out with a bang. Added 2 cup sizes and the posterior was full and could have a quarter bounced off of it.

It was fun, but ultimately a bullet dodged (with some nice things filed away for the occasional daydream).

If there's another league then the NFL could start relegating the bottom four teams in the league to the lower league each year and bring the top four teams from the lower league into the NFL.

Game changer if this happens… the NFL would definitely start taking notice…

This stuff is going to blow up even more now that conference realignment has many of the the sports that are a big net loss flying half way across the country every other week. They're going to have a whole list of stuff to complain about. I wouldn't even be surprised if a lot of the smaller sports programs get dropped all together because of the hassle, while losing money.
