Why would you even think that?

Superdog

Lex Luthor

Godzilla knockoff

Some kind of Borg looking wildcard character

You just know its all gonna come together masterfully, Supes and his best buddy doggo will ride off into the sunset to the tune of some old 70s jam like this

I love Gunn’s movies. He has a track record.

You like the Guardians of the Galaxy movies? He did those right. I like some fun in my movies. He usually delivers.

Geopolitically - Illegal Alien

Astronomically - Illegal Alien

Takes 2 jobs (Reporter/Super Hero) from actual hard working Americans

Only weakness is a stupid green rock

A stupid green rock that Batman carries on him at all times meaning that this all powerful boyscout can be defeated by a rich emo man-child with abandonment issues.

Kansas sucks.

I honesty didn’t like Suicide Squad much. I expected better.

I liked Ayer’s version better.

And yes, I know, the powers. But I would argue Batman's powers are equally absurd. They have a veneer of believability, but a superpowered alien is probably more realistic than a regular human that can do the things Batman does.

Let me put it another way, who wins in a fight, Superman or Batman?

Batman is a better character because he is more relatable, because he's more realistic, because he's flawed as all humans are. Batman has to actually try to be a good person. His persona is a choice that he made. On the other hand, Superman is just dumb.

This whole thing looks weak AF, thats the last I'll chime in here

I'm just past the superdog/talking raccoon phase of my life

If you guys enjoy it, go for it

Also, Gunn basically made a Superman movie 5 years ago with Brightburn, so this should be fine.

I've reached Super Hero burnout. The last Spiderman was good however most of Marvel has been miss rather than hit. I will give Gunn a chance on this one and see what he can do with a DC hero. As others have stated, Super Man is just overpowered which makes him not very relatable.

It’s just Superman overkill at this point. How many Superman TV shows and movies have there been now?? The movie doesn’t look bad or anything , but Nothing in that trailer wowed or surprised me.

I always wonder about these reboot type movies and who the intended target audience is and where the equilibrium point is where fatigue starts to set in

They almost seem like a cover song that an artist (director) is just dying to put their personal spin on that no one is really asking for at this point

I'm such and such director and here's MY take on such and such superhero

I agree. I suggest waiting 50 years for the next Superman or Batman, to clear the air.

Same here. At some point, it's just different shades of the same shit over and over and over. Good guys and bad guys are so overpowered that the fights between them are ridiculous.

The last one I bothered to watch was the new Pattinson Batman. I really enjoyed it because it because it DIDN'T feature gods, aliens, magic or science fiction.

Is that worth a watch? Seems like the the opposite of Superman

GOG was great. Suicide squad sucked.
