Personally, rankings don't mean shit. It's either you get in the 65 field or you don't.

Oh enough with your little game of playing innocent. I posted about how cool it was for Mizzou to make the top ten in football and basketball in the same year; there was no mocking ku, no chest-thumping, nothing.

Your dumbass responded to that thread by calling Mizzou's program mediocre and our season a fraud.

I kept hearing that if Mizzou got a four seed they would be a lock to play in KC. So I thought it was important to get at least a four seed. Now I am hearing that due to how the brackets will be setup, MU probably won't get to play in KC unless they get a 2 seed?! I don't see anyway that happens unless we sweep the rest of our schedule and do good in the Big 12 tourney.

Nobody cares that MU's program made the top 10 in their disappointing year. I don't see the point in bringing it up at all.

It is mediocre, and most rational people would agree that they were frauds in 2008.

Yes...I'm really feeling quite bad about the year of 2008. What with our 2 bowl wins (one a BCS game) and National Championship. It's not like MU could ever actually equal something like that.

Well, if you look at recent history, say the past 6 years, I believe Mu has a losing record against KU in football, too (2-4).

Tiger's Fan 02-16-2009 03:45 PM

The game in Lawrence, even with Ed Hightower on the crew, is going to border on being a clown stomp, unless we have 30 TO's. That given, what are the MUrons gonna do after we win again in Arrowhead this year? I see epic meltdown.

Of course, there was only one single game played between KU and MU in the past few decades that really, truly mattered on a national scale.

And we all know how that turned out.

Yeah, you guys are pesky. Maybe one day you'll take all that energy you bring into your Super Bowl and build a better football program. Eh, probably not though.

And if anyone was wondering, the answer is 1999. Kansas hasn't finished ahead of Missouri's football team in the Big 12 since 1999.

Seriously? The win in 2007 gave Mizzou the North title and crushed the national championship dreams of kansas fans.

What did ku get by winning in 2008? Insight Bowl instead of Independence Bowl?

Okay, I'm confused. Is this thread about basketball or football?

Football - MU was better than KU this year, even though KU beat us.
Basketball - I'd say we're about even. The thing that sucks is that KU can blame their lackluster performance on rebuilding.

Nothing. Just like MU got nothing out of the win over us in 07. Before you start spitting at your screen about the Big 12 North, it's not exactly big on the national scale. Like most, I really don't care about Big 12 North unless it leads to being the B12 champions.
