Never been a huge fan of that argument, it's not like the Chiefs have really done anything either. We've seen three playoff wins in the last 30 years.

I detest you. |
I totally agree there. I mean The Chiefs have been almost as bad. I really can't stand fair weather fans that jump on people that stick with their losers. I mean anyone who is Royal's fan obviously is pretty hardcore. Most of the people I know in Texas have suddenly jumped on the Rangers bandwagon, and its quite disgraceful. (Claythan has been on these threads in the past so that excludes him I guess)

Says the Royal fan
The Chiefs have made the playoffs the last 20 years and won divison titles. They made the playoffs a few years ago and were in first place half way through the season the next and fans still wanted them to rebuild. If it were the Royals you idiots would be saying they were a world series contender.

Very classy. Proves the point too

Atleast the Chiefs stay in the country to hire shitty coaches too
Trey Hillman is from Texas... I guess it is a whole 'nuther country. Him coaching in Japan means nothing. But admittedly was a dumb hirer. I love the Chiefs, so why the f**K would any lame brain put the two against each other? I don't usually get involved with trolls but this is f**king reeruned. The case with the Chiefs is different. The NFL is different.

The idea that Royals fans shouldn't spend any money on the team as a sort of protest is actually an idea that can be argued successfully, by someone more nuanced than yourself of course. |

Eh, I don't like one sport over the other. They're different sports, different seasons. But yeah if playoff appearances are your measure of success, then the Chiefs have been more successful, they have a couple playoff appearances in the last 12-13 years.
It's hard to say, over most of our lifetimes, the Royals were really good then had a long playoff drought, and then have been bad since 96 or so. And the Chiefs had a long playoff drought then became pretty good, and then really haven't been contenders for the last 12 years or so. Had one good year in 03, and that team had a horrible defense. And that's the last time the Royals had a good team. It's all perspective. I think it's just hard to get excited because most of the Chiefs playoff appearances have ended in truly devastating fashion. Not just losing a close game, no first downs, no punts, missed FG's, epic disasters. It's obviously easier to have hope for the Chiefs because they play in a more level league, as long as they don't blow up the salary cap next year. And more teams make the playoffs in football. |
I don't agree, it doesn't make a difference. I enjoy the watching the Royals/Chiefs in person. I buy tickets because I enjoy the experience. It isn't always about winning, and losing. Winning would be great, but even if the Royals never do make the playoffs the rest of my life I will still enjoy watching baseball. I enjoy the quest as much as anything. When KU won the title that was great, but it didn't alter my life or fandom any way.

Although honestly, the best team of any of those were probably the 05 Chiefs, great offense, had at least a passable defense, but couldn't win a road game and missed the playoffs. 06 team got in the playoffs on one of the craziest final NFL days ever probably, although that was exciting, I wouldn't trade that for anything. But then we literally couldn't get a first down in the playoffs. |

Withthe bullpen giving up runs in the 7th or 8th inning in 11 straight games, A move is needed to totally blow up the bullpen. Send guys down, bring some up, let some go, trade some for a can of coke and a hotdog if you have to but dissmantle the bullpen immediately.
30 minutes until your beatdown continues, Royals fans. Are you ready for more?
I had a dream last night the Royals scored a run. I woke up and said SHIT cuz it was just a dream.
I still want Hillman to run out there like a wild man during a Royals at bat and throw a bunch of bats toward home plate and yell HIT THE ****ING BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted via Mobile Device |
Good catch.
Haha! Try to catch that one.
You guys have two baserunners. Someone take a picture.

Royals have the bases loaded. Hell has frozen over.
But there are two outs. |
Kids won't be in bed until about the sixth inning. By that time they will be behind 2-0. I know this because I was given this info by the Holy Spirit. That. And the Royals suck shit.

And a wild pitch plates another run for Texas.
Pobre Royales with cheese. |
The Royals haven't won since before the All-Star break. Ha.

3-0 on a fielder's choice as the Royals slowly bleed to death.

THE ROYALS SCORE A RUN
HOLY ****ING SHIT |
Damn, Vizquel still got some skills. Old crusty bastard.
bad call by the 1st base Ump....he was clearly safe
Hillman just got tossed for arguing the runner was safe. Guess that run got him ALL FIRED UP!
Trey booted. Acceptable bullpen management to follow?
Royals score again. Hope springs eternal.
Holland is a piece of shit. And the Royals lead.
Royals take the lead as Billy jacks a 3-0 pitch over the wall
Its... pleasant to see the Royals #3 hitter deliver like a #3 hitter.
BTW, that home run music is really cool.
How long has Andruw Jones had those lame tats?
Remember when Luke Hochevar didn't strike anyone out, ever, because he didn't have an out-pitch? He's changing that perception radically these past few starts.
Look at you guys. You're so cute.
You know this won't last. The pendulum ax is swinging lower and lower.... |

Good Lord; as if the Texas Rangers are worth two limp-dicked ****s...
6-3!!!!
GOD DAMMIT! |
Soria being made available for the 8th inning. Trey Hillman stuck in the locker room after being ejected. Hmmmmmmmmm.
Paging Filthy McNasty: Dr. McNasty, please report to the mound.
That fat **** Andruw Jones sure likes to grin like a jackass before flying out.
Soria can't locate his curveball, which is making him far less effective than normal. Grrrr.
Filthy Mc****off
I hope Trey Hillman is learning something from this.

Holy balls

Screw you guys, tomorrow you get RIPPED APART.

LMAO
It's funny. One thing I noticed when Trey Hillman got tossed, and can't control the team from the clubhouse, the Team is ACTUALLY more effective than Hillman being on the dugout.
Look at the shock and awe on Billy Butler's face.
HE GOT AN ANGEL WITH HIM! |
