Wrong. Brown shall be judged the same as everyone else.

Brown's biggest problems there was a bad angle.

Just watched it again. I was right at the 2:50 mark of the 2nd quarter. 2nd and 5 for the Raiders at their own 25. If Flowers can make that catch... and it was a fastball right at head high... it's an easy 6 points for us.

Hammock Parties 09-26-2009 08:15 AM

Look at LJ clearing the way for Cassel.

Oh, Larry. You're a good boy now!

http://i35.tinypic.com/140hniq.jpg

Hammock Parties 09-26-2009 09:35 AM

The day of reckoning is arrived. It's time to gif the entire offensive line up.

Albert, Waters, Niswanger, Goff, Ndukwe.

They all sucked in some way this week. They all get gif'd up. They are this week's gif'd up bitches. Sucking as one.

First, Brian Waters totally whiffs and costs LJ some yardage (fortunately LJ stiff-armed this guy).

http://i35.tinypic.com/v5b9z7.gif

Next, Ndukwe gets Cassel rocked. The end zone camera reveals Mike Goff's brand 'o suck.

http://i38.tinypic.com/111pitd.gif

Ndukwe and Goff must really hate Cassel.

http://i35.tinypic.com/34njdsi.gif

Waters continues his quest to ensure Priest Holmes remains the franchise's all-time leading rusher.

http://i37.tinypic.com/243mel5.gif

Oh hey, I'm Mike Goff and...I suck.

http://i33.tinypic.com/2s6qxqe.gif

Branden Albert says, "take my quarterback, please."

http://i33.tinypic.com/2qbwugg.gif

RUDY! RUDY! RUDY!

http://i35.tinypic.com/14visjo.gif

Ndukwe is back and joining him is Sean Ryan in....

http://i35.tinypic.com/f4nvyc.gif

Waters, determined to keep Priest's record intact, soldiers on.

http://i36.tinypic.com/2vjblfo.gif

Not sure how bad this is, but Goff keeps getting shoved around.

http://i33.tinypic.com/29vcun7.gif

OK, this is actually a good play. BUT, if you follow Gerard Warren (61), you'll see Mike Goff fails to block him at the line. Had Goff held him up, LJ might have been sprung into the secondary instead of being slowed by Warren.

http://i37.tinypic.com/20ff1h0.gif

Hammock Parties 09-26-2009 09:41 AM

Tally O Suck:

Waters: 3
Goff: 5
Ndukwe: 4
Albert: 1
Niswanger: 1

That's it for GIF'D UP WEEK 2.

On the second Waters gif, it's clear he's pissed at LJ for trying to take that outside. If Johnson reads the block, there are yards to be gained up the middle.

Of course, this might require LJ getting off his tiptoes.

TrickyNicky 09-26-2009 12:07 PM

On the last one, is Goff supposed to go low as part of the play, or is it up to the lineman?

Bullshit.

That play is going outside all the way. LJ is just getting the handoff as Waters blows that block.

Waters ****ing ****ed that up. POS!

No, it's not. Waters gave a fairly piss poor effort, but if LJ reads the block accordingly, he still should have picked up yards.

Sometimes a player has to pick his teammates up, and LJ is at the point in his career when he cannot do this. In short, he ****ing sucks.

aturnis 09-26-2009 12:22 PM

The LB is on LJ quick. No question. But it looks like the little shove that Waters gives the defender to the outside would have been enough for LJ to plant his right foot, cut inside and avoid/brush off the tackle.

I'm not saying it's perfect by any means, and Waters needs to engage a hell of a lot more effectively.

Hammock Parties 09-26-2009 12:28 PM

Here is undeniable proof that Waters ****ed that play up. LJ barely has the handoff and Howard is blowing past B-Dub.

Shouldn't LJ have been following the fullback (inside) ? Your saying that waters f the play up so much that LJ had no choice ? On a side note thanks for doing these gifs, makes me sad but they're insightful.

LJ has to stay inside. That's where the play is designed to go, and if "believes in the process", there might be some positive yardage.

That said, Waters needs to be put forth a better effort.

That is one of the hardest plays to block. You are backside blocking playside with a no bullshit "we are running to the left" play. I think that is an acceptable block. He doesnt have an angle on him at all. If Goff tried to get hands on him he would just push him into the play.

Yeah, but if you're going to cut the guy at the legs, shouldn't you at least stop the guy's momentum? The defender pretty much just jumped over him and became the guy who ended up finishing the play.

In Haley's defense, that's on the GM for not thinking the offensive line was a problem until the last 2 weeks of the preseason. Haley is pretty much working with what Pioli gives him.

So, who made the decision to cut Taylor and McIntosh? Haley or Pioli?

Look, Mac caught a LOT of shit on this board, and rightfully so. But I don't see where he was EVER as bad as Ndukwe has been on a regular basis, nor have I witnessed Herb Taylor or Rudy Niswanger play as bad at RG as Goff has.

They must think O'Callaghan is the biggest POS in the league, because Ndukwe is beyond awful.

Fair points. I definitely wasn't happy about cutting Taylor. I'm not convinced that O'Callaghan won't eventually start at RT. Either way, Haley had to choose between shit and shit because the front office didn't view the offensive line as a priority.

Easy 6 09-26-2009 05:10 PM

Tank was tripped in the last play.

Tamba looked poor, but might have been held.

I really like how the d-line isnt always engaging straight ahead, but slanting into a guy/gap to create leverage against a guys one shoulder to simply run through him. They already look quicker & more aggressive against the run than 08's group.

I said at the time that Pioli claimed O'Callaghan that the guy has slow feet.

He looks like his feet are weighted down by anchors as he trekking through mud.

O'C will knock you on your ass as a run blocker, but get owned in pass protect.

Well, Ndukwe and Goff are getting owned in both, so if Haley is going to treat the regular season as an extended pre-season at other positions, why not the OL?

DBOSHO 09-26-2009 10:43 PM

it really astounds me just how bad our line is.

your get paid millions of dollars just to stand in the way of someone, and you can barely get a hand on the guy....

InChiefsHeaven 09-27-2009 06:07 PM

that offensive line is truly O-ffensive. Geez, how the mighty have fallen. They are going to have to do some serious work in FA after the season is over to shore this piece of shit up, you can't do in in the draft. ****in pay whatever you have to pay, we can't do SHIT with this offensive line.

It's time for some late night GIF'D UP GOODNESS.

If you're one of the losers home this Friday night...you're actually a winner.

Awesome. All those people out dancing and drinking and dining and getting laid don't know what they're missing.

Wow. That's some damn ugly stuff right there. On a couple of them, it's clear that we're just a lot slower than the Eagles. Slow off the ball and equally slow to react. Pitiful. Just pitiful.

Maybe part of our problem is that we practice against ourselves. Suck vs. suck probably doesn't lead to improvement.

Maybe it would help if our guys were to practice against St. Anne's Residential Retirement Bridge Club.

Best thread on all of Chiefsplanet.

Tank Tyler is playing pretty well this year. Or am I tripping?

To be fair to the players, the Ravens and Eagles are both expected to be Super Bowl contenders this season if they can stay healthy. In the one game the Chiefs played against a more 'average' opponent, they did play better.

That being said, GoChiefs could be making a lot of gifs again after this week's game.

In that last clip, it's amazing to see the Eagles just run to the edges. Waters doesn't even have anyone to block. Their guys can run a stunt, get to the edge, turn the corner, and be in Cassel's face by the time our guys are setting their feet. Amazing.
