I've never heard anyone brag about going to the Gator Bowl. It's a garbage bowl that usually gets a 3rd place Big East team against a middle of the pack ACC team. Last year Clemson finished in 9th place in the ACC and played against the 6th place team in the Big 12 in the Gator Bowl. Going to Jacksonville is viewed as a disappointment for most teams.
