I think the nature of that last rushing touchdown and the yards after contact are souring people's perceptions of how the Chiefs did against the run. On paper it wasn't that bad. It was facepalm worthy at times though.

stevieray 11-08-2009 07:32 PM

jwhit...when you used the phrase hellhole in conjunction with Vraebel, was it from his POV for effect, or is that how KC and Chiefs are perceived around the league? both?

Oh, well shit.

Let's just petition the league to strike that run from the stat sheet, and we can all sit around and talk progress.

173 yards rushing, 4.2 per carry, and 2 TD's.

The defense kept the Chiefs in the game until very very late in the fourth quarter.

If the offense had bothered to show up before garbage time...

We gave up over 400 yards of total offense. What can we really praise?

Yes, our offense didn't help out the D, but...****, man. The D didn't exactly help out the D. Last I checked, Mike Brown wasn't playing O.

Mecca 11-08-2009 07:38 PM

BigMeatballDave 11-08-2009 07:38 PM

In fairness, if the O wasn't so pathetic, the D would not be as bad.

Hammock Parties 11-08-2009 07:39 PM

Come on you stupid shits.

It was 17-6 in the fourth quarter before the defense finally had it's back broken because it had been on the field all day.

If the offense converts two short fields into two touchdowns instead of pathetic field goals....we're right there.

I agree 100% with as much as the Defense was on the field they held on just enough to keep with in striking distance..... nobody is saying it was a great performance by any means but they did a commendable job of keeping the game close

Our defense had given up 62 yards rushing 10 minutes into the 1st quarter, 85 by the end of the 1st quarter, and 109 by halftime.

Look at the defenses they've played, dipshit.

St. Louis
Houston
Tennessee*2
Seattle
Arizona
Indy
KC

Outside of Indy, all those defenses are either below league average (Arizona) or are ****ing horrible (Tennessee, St. Louis, Houston, Seattle, KC)

you play who is on your schedule and they moved the ball on all of those teams so keep making excuses but that is a top 15 offense.... so it's not like we were playing the raiders out there

We got eviscerated by a team with David Garrard at QB and Mike Sims-Walker as their #1.

I guaran****ingtee that team does not finish in the top half of the league in O.

24 points is hardly eviscerated.... Sims Walker and Jones Drew are good offensive players.... Garrard isn't a bad QB.... I wouldn't be surprised if they finished in the upper half of the NFL with the way they can run the ball

So mediocre is now good and 430 yards allowed is hardly eviscerated:

Here's two:

The OL played marginally better, though they were up against a team that hadn't gotten to the QB before today.
