Yet we are the team leading the AFC West. We don't need to apologize to anyone. |
The Chargers blew the Colts out, blew the Chiefs out, blew the Jags out (with their real QB, not a hayseed) and competed down to the wire with the Patriots.
They're undeniably a better team than the Chiefs. |

I think if goatcheese had his way that would happen. For whatever reason the resurgence of the Chiefs has caught him off guard and he has to feed his hate somehow. I bet if the Chiefs would by some chance make it to the SB he will be rooting for the other team just so he can say "I told you they are frauds". |
I love how suddenly I'm the new Mecca.

If the Chiefs win out and and win the division, it will be because the Chargers, as they have every season since Norvelle took the helm, were not prepared to play when the games start. Someone should inform the Chargers that the first half of the schedule counts every bit as much as the second half. |

You need to make a new video. I will say those are at least entertaining. |

I mean, it's almost like you're purposely trying to skew the argument in your favor. |

Besides, who cares about injuries? The Chargers BEAT THE CRAP out of the Colts and Chiefs. The Chiefs would have a legit win on their record if Garrard had actually started that game instead of Bouman. Too bad. |
At 10-6, I could easily make an argument that we were a better team in 2005 than both Jacksonville (who finished 12-4) and the Bengals (11-5). Yet, they both made the playoffs, both got home games, and both got boatraced.
The bottom line is, who cares? |
Quote:
When all is said and done the way you get the wins has absolutely nothing to do with the record. You are creating many enemies here. It might be time for you to go back to WPI and do your stuff there. Oops, I forgot.. they cleaned that place up and you can't do as you do her when posting there. |

The Chiefs blew out the Jags because Bouman couldn't do crap in the second half of that game. The Chargers blew out the Chiefs because they were a legit better team. Clear? |

Your standards are ridiculous. There were plenty on board with your idea that the Chiefs aren't going far in the playoffs and very likely lose out their first round. Myself included. If you want to sell to a bunch of homers that this team isn't going to be dangerous in the playoffs, fine. But you're trying to sell to more rational fans that this team isn't significantly improved? Isn't progressing significantly? Doesn't belong in the playoffs? Are only winning easy games (nevermind that these were exactly the games the team has been losing the past few years)? That's why almost nobody is supporting you in your "jump off the ledge" comments. You've taken a reasonable position to an extreme that nobody stands behind. |
Quote:
But the Chargers win counts in spite of Croyle playing like worse crap in the first AND second half. Got it. |
We haven't significantly improved, and last week's game is proof, as is the total collapse of our run defense.
If we were significantly improved we wouldn't have gone into San Diego and laid down like the 2009 Chiefs. |
Quote:
The Chiefs were getting their asses kicked on both sides of the ball for the entire game against San Diego. Huge, huge difference. |
Quote:
Yet the Bolts beat the Chiefs with Croyle at the helm, and that does qualify as a legit win... but when the Cheifs win over Jax with Bouman QB'ing it does not. :hmmm: |

|
Quote:
That's significant improvement. |

That's sticking your foot in your mouth again. |

The same team that lost by 15 points on their home field to the Oakland Raiders a week before? Sorry, but the Chargers are not that good. But as the Broncos showed us... |

JFC dude, get out of here. |

I tried to log in there and my login is not working. Did you ban me there? |

At least Todd Bouman gave the Jags a half. Brodie Croyle didn't even give the Chiefs a minute. By the way, at this point, Cassel > Garrard. Bouman >> Croyle. The QB gap is far more significant. It's not like Garrard is head and shoulders better than Bouman. Far from it. Croyle played negatively. Jamarcus Russell negatively. Don't act like Croyle starting didn't have any impact on the game. We still don't know how the Chiefs would have fared with Cassel in the lineup. Different gameplan, different game if the Chiefs convert for first downs, rested defense. We don't know. |

Teams are allowed to have bad games. That was the first game all season where the Chiefs were not competitive. And they came back and beat the Broncos, despite continually shooting themselves in the foot. Or that the Oakland game is somehow significant. The Chargers are good. They are arguably the most talented team in the league. With good coaching that gets them motivated to play week in and week out, they are easily Super Bowl favorites. When they are motivated to play, they are simply unstoppable. "When." |

And boy did it show in clear, sunny San Diego. |

The Chiefs are outperforming expectations. The Chargers are wildly underperforming expectations. Stop trying to act like the Chiefs should somehow be scolded for not being as good as the Chargers. They're not supposed to be. |

It would be tempting to say "if the Chiefs make the playoffs, everyone is going to realize how much of an idiot you are." But the thing is, you already have zero credibility and are the laughing stock of ChiefsPlanet so you really can't go any further down. |
ROFL you guys are nuts. Of course GoChiefs is doing this for attention. Dude's got 100,000 posts. Why do you think he posts? lol. I don't care I like the guy, he does his thing. You know why he does this but yet you talk about it lol.

Theres only 1 team I can see us beating in the playoffs. If we play the Ravens, Steelers, Chargers, or Pats, we'll lose. Jets should be a very winnable game though. Especially at home.

Chiefs finish out with all wins and win the division.
Go Chiefs!!!! |

I agree with Beach Tribe that winning the division would be a major step. All of those young guys will have a taste of going through the experience, which will greatly help in the coming years. Plus, if we win the division and play at Arrowhead, we will have a much better chance of winning our first playoff game since 1993 or some ancient number. That's gotta be a good thing to shut down smack talk. But, and this is not insignificant ... if we win the division ... SD sits at home!!! Nice!!! |
Outstanding game by our run defense so far. Only 41 yards on 12 carries for Jackson. Keep it up.

You were saying?

A) 19 attempts 67 yards 1 TD

1 down, 2 to go

gives so much to the BB right :)

More than you, woman. Don't ever forget it.
I'll eat crow if we stop Chris Johnson and NOT BEFORE! |
You REALLLLYYYY need to make a thread saying that there's no way we win the superbowl this year....or better yet, no way we win a superbowl every year for the next 5 years.

I think this will be a close game and the team who gets better play out of their QB wins. We'll need at least 21 to win. |
I wouldn't worry too much about Johnson. He tends to run laterally and the 3-4 is well equipped to deal with that. I think the Titans would be better off starting Ringer and using Johnson more as a change of pace back.
