Not sure if I'm going to watch this season or not yet.
|
I have it DVR'd, we'll see how the premeire is.
|
Well, ive only watched the first hour from last night so far and ive got to say it was pretty decent. Looks like they are developing a "Conspiracy Theory" plotline now, which may or may not include Holder?
Hmmmmmm.... Where did Mitch go? |
it got better as it went...I still find myself not caring about the family at all, wish it was just the procedural stuff...

The hospital waiting scenes were horribly boring. Other than that, it was quite good.

I haven't watched the new episodes yet, but I saw this on another board. Overly dramatic critic, or does this about sum it up?

heheh, that was a pretty funny summary and pretty good way to catch up actually.
Show has some flaws of logic yes....but ill wait until the end when they have revealed the full conspiracy and why. |
Why does every character have a flip phone? You would think that at least one character could afford a phone with a data plan.
|
Anyone still watching?
|
I have been, up until the last week. My cable went out saturday night for some reason and isn't back on yet, so I couldn't watch last nights (yet my internet is up, it's weird...).
I've liked this season. |
That show is ridiculous. There's not one single character on the show that acts in a logical or even a semi-rational fashion. It's just a mess.
|
I am, but im behind. Only on episode 3. I like it, not sure if i love it yet. They seem to have dropped a few storylines.
|
Also, its only been like 2 weeks or a little over in the timeline of the show. It uses basically 1 day each episode.
Thats fine, but a ton of sh*t has happened in a two week period. Too much to be believable. |
Catch up. It's been pretty good. A lot going on as well.
|
That mayoral campaign belongs on daytime tv.
|
OMFG!
|
I got caught up on this show the last two weeks. I don't know why.
The Aunt did it, right? |

She's the only person left who could have conceivably done it who they haven't tried to swerve everybody with already. And they just said it was probably a woman that did it.
It'd be cool if it was the psycho little brother, though. |

The more I've thought about this show, the more irritated I get with it. It's well made, but too many things don't ad up. I guess that's why it was so frustrating to a lot of viewers... Posted via Mobile Device |
mmm....didnt realize it had got resurrected for a 3rd season.
http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/201...in-may/159903/ Multiple sources report that, though AMC has yet to officially greenlight season 3, the writers of The Killing, including showrunner Veena Sud and executive producers Dawn Prestwich and Nicole Yorkin returned to work this week. AMC is said to be considering a late May premiere. The show was canceled after its second season, but a deal with Netflix that made the show more affordable for AMC resurrected it. |
Yeah, the Netflix thing was in limbo the last I'd heard, but expected to go forward.

Officially renewed for season 3
http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/201...-three/165484/ New York, NY – January 15, 2013 – AMC and Fox Television Studios (FTVS) announced today a new deal which will return “The Killing” to AMC for a third season. As part of the deal, Veena Sud returns as executive producer, writer and showrunner along with actors Mireille Enos (Sarah Linden) and Joel Kinnaman (Stephen Holder). Season three will focus on a new case, which will be resolved over the course of 12 episodes. Production on season three begins February 25th in Vancouver. “‘The Killing’ from day one has been a truly original take on the crime drama. Veena Sud and the rest of the talented creative team are hard at work shaping the lives of Linden and Holder, portrayed by the terrific Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman," said Charlie Collier, AMC’s president. "We're so pleased to welcome back 'The Killing' for another season." Fox TV Studios President, David Madden, said, “We have always believed in 'The Killing' and remain extremely proud of it, which is why we all worked so hard to find a scenario that could give it new life.” “I couldn’t be happier to know that I will be returning to work with AMC, FTVS and Mireille and Joel on what is and has always been a passion project for me. To the fans that have supported the series, thank you for doing so. My team and I will work hard to deliver the best story that we can for season three,” said Veena Sud. A year after closing the Rosie Larsen case, Sarah Linden is no longer a detective. But when her ex-partner Stephen Holder's search for a runaway girl leads him to discover a gruesome string of murders that connects to a previous murder investigation by Linden, she is drawn back into the life she thought she'd left behind. “The Killing” is produced by Fox Television Studios and executive produced by Mikkel Bondesen for Bondesen Productions. Kristen Campo serves as co-executive producer. The series premiered on AMC Sunday, April 3, 2011, with season two premiering Sunday, April 1, 2012. The Killing averaged 1.9 million viewers over the 2 seasons. AMC’s Joel Stillerman, executive vice president of original programming, production and digital content, Susie Fitzgerald, senior vice president of scripted development and current programming and Jason Fisher, senior vice president of production oversee production of the series for the network. |
I don't know that I have the stamina for another storyline.
|
The 2nd season of Homeland rejuvenated my interest in a possible 3rd season of The Killing.
|
Just a reminder, new season starts tonight.
|
Got the DVR set!
|
DVR'S ready!
|
Thank God for Peter Sarsgaard, or that episode is ****ing worthless.
|
I'm through the first four hours now, and after the (too long) bit with her working on the ferry, it's picked up. I'm really digging this season. It almost has a Wire feel to it.

Did they ever reveal who killed Laura Palmer?

I'm about halfway thru season 4. I thought 1-2 were very good, 3 was good, 4 is good so far. Maybe I'm weird but I can watch shows/movies without picking them part too much. Just go with the flow, makes a lot of shows better.
|
I just watched the first three episodes of the original Danish version "Forbrydelsen." It's not grabbing me. It just seems like a typical thriller drawn out for 20 episodes.
I have watched a lot of movies over the years, and i think it's ruined my attention span. I don't think I will be finishing this one. SPOILERS: I think the killer will be the dumb guy who works as a mover for the murdered girls dad. Not from any real clues or anything, but because he was shown being racist towards a Pakistani (Movie logic: Racists are bad. Murderers are bad. Racists are therefore murderers), and because he had a big band-aid on his neck. Also the girl was likely killed by someone she knew. I'm probably wrong about that, but I just don't care enough to watch another 17 hours to find out. |
