*BTW someone let me know if this is wrong, we later traded Davidson to the Raiders for a 1st rd draft pick that we used to draft I believe Buc Buchanan, and opened the door for Lenny the cool to come to the Chiefs.

This is actually before my time, but I'm pretty sure that Hank Stram brought Lenny in to be his new starter, regardless of Davidson.

Davidson was traded for that reason.
