We're not winning this game.

Baltimore will drop a 40 burger on us if Dorsey, Flowers and Lewis are out.

And the Ravens are probably going to kill McCluster, since Ed Reed will insure Cassel throws 0 passes past 10 yards.

Chiefs Pantalones 10-04-2012 01:44 PM

The Ravens would really have to sleepwalk in this game for us to have a chance.

That's what you said about New Orleans.

Imagine if the banner puts the Ravens into a false sense of security

And in comes the #1 seed. Smiles already on their faces, knowing they get to pummel the lowly Chefs.

But then! Out of nowhere! Comes a force within Arrowhead that is so strong, even Matt Cassel becomes average. And the rest of the team - above average.

The ball will bounce funny. We'll have our day of breaks falling our way. And just as I predicted last year vs. the Packers, we will rise above the noise and...

BEAT THE RAVENS!!!!

(thereby screwing our chances of the next hot QB next draft. But that's not the point here).

Who's with me?

Heh...you know, it's funny. I can actually see this happening. It has several times with KC...even happened under Herm. 20 straight losses, and they win a game they had no business winning.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if KC manages to pull this one out.

Hammock Parties 10-04-2012 04:28 PM

Herm's Chiefs never beat anyone good. They were 2-14 with wins over the shitty Donks and shitty Raiders.

The fact that they won 2 was a miracle, one of them on the road at Oakland. That 2008 team was by far the worst team that KC had fielded in 30 years...and that's saying something.

No they weren't....during the second half of the season they were in almost every game down to the final minutes...more than this team can say so far.

There is no way in hell we win this game.

None.

I'll avatar bet this one...

LOL..well, yeah, because the second half of this season has yet to be played...

ShowtimeSBMVP 10-04-2012 04:54 PM

The last time we faced these guys was in the playoffs where we flat out dominated them with a 30-7 win in the wild card match up. This time around I expect a tough game in a hostile environment. We'll need to shut down Charles if we have a shot. If we neutralize their run game they can't run the clock and keep our high powered offense off the field.

This game is definitely winnable after extended rest and game planning but I don't expect a blowout by any means.

Share thoughts below with regards to our next game.

October 7th can't get here soon enough!

Guess Raven fans haven't watched the chiefs this year.

Heh...strange things happen in the NFL. I fully expect a loss, but as I said, it wouldnt be a shock if they somehow pulled this out because it's just more of a mirage that this team is any good.

Im not betting on it, Im just saying that it could happen.

Hammock Parties 10-04-2012 05:03 PM

Oh yeah, that's the other thing.

They've had TEN DAYS to prepare for this dogshite team.

We're ****ed.

Especially since you don't even need to prepare for our passing game...

Hammock Parties 10-04-2012 05:07 PM

LOL

Did not practice: Jalil Brown, Glenn Dorsey, Peyton Hillis, Derrick Johnson, Ropati Pitoitua, Devon Wylie and Kendrick Lewis

Does that matter? Ravens D can sleepwalk and still stop Cassel.

What's wrong with Ratboy Pituitary?

It's like he played 3 snaps and then sort of ... snapped.

I'd like to have our D intact for once.

Lewis back (despite what CP appears to believe) would be a huge help.

The D keeping us in a 3-4 INT Ca$$hole 1st half would be good reason to plug in Quinn.

And with a full strength defense and a metric-****-ton of luck we might pull it out.

Anything to shove Ca$$hole to the bench...

petegz28 10-04-2012 05:56 PM

The Ravens will probably have Cassel out of the game by the 2nd quarter so yes, there is a chance we win.

Easy 6 10-04-2012 06:02 PM

Thats a huge list of sadsack BS, all/ed* three of them yet to prove a thing here.

Hillis? he didnt limp going off the field the last we saw him, it was more of a saunter.

Wylie? apparently, this guy is all american hype & fragile as a bird bone.

Rapa Nui? we need your big ass in there, SUCK IT UP.

Hammock Parties 10-04-2012 06:22 PM

Pioli isn't getting enough shit for the Wylie pick.

It'd be nice if ONE of his fourth round picks wasn't a dumpster fire.

Instead we get:

Wylie
Brown
Washington

I think we're going to win. Remember Will Shields and Brian Waters and Tony Richardson knocking Ray Lewis to the ground time and time again. This is going to be the same thing, except with Jon Asamoah, and ... um ... Jeff Allen ... and ... and ... Nate Eachus.

Well, I don't care. We're going to do this. We're a trap game for them. They're going to be looking forward to next week when they play the Cowboys, and they're probably not even game planning for us. They're probably going to be resting Ray Rice and Haloti Ngata and those guys anyway. We're going to win this.

Hammock Parties 10-04-2012 09:33 PM

Jeff Allen couldn't block Corey Liuget last week.

This week he has to block Haloti Ngata.

Ngata is my DL in my fantasy league. ChaChing. Also I have T. Smith. Major face palm though as my opponent has Ray Rice.

MahiMike 10-08-2012 08:12 AM

so close. I didn't see the game but saw the fumble at the 1. As I thought, the Ravens couldn't get excited about playing a high school team.

Allen played well for a second start. The whole OL played pretty well considering.

Allen had a negative grade again. LMAO

He sucks.
