Part of me really thinks that Pioli would hire McDaniels here.

Now that King squashed Ferentz rumor (PK is close with Ferentz as well), I think McDaniels is going to be top candidate.

Chiefs thought they had him locked up last year as OC when BB grabbed him for the playoffs.

There's a ton of rumors out there. However, I trust this info. It could blow up, could turn out he's fired because of a change of heart.

However, Clark is the nerdy ****ing band geek and he views Pioli as the prom queen with double d's.

No man.

If McDaniels is hired, then I'm afraid Cassel stays. I want no part of him for that reason. I would HATE to see a continuation of the Matt Cassel project again. It would be like experiencing insanity part 2.

He's bad and definitely worthy of consideration considering how his dad left the franchise.

Lamar ran it like a family business. Clark runs it like a corporation.

If Clark is running it like a corporation his personal feelings for Pioli shouldn't matter, right?

If he's Scott's best buddy and won't fire him because of it it would imply he's running it more like a family business.

Ugh. I wanna puke too! I have no idea what I'm going to do if he stays, and it seems he's going to. I can't root for another team, therefore the sport of football will be absolutely meaningless to me. I mean, it's been pretty meaningless the last 2 years to the point where I don't even know what's going on with other teams cuz I just don't ****ing care. The Chiefs organization and their apathy towards the product is contagious and now I'm fully apathetic. And now, of Pioli stays, I will be fully removed from the sport. Yeah, I will stil host Monday Night Football because it's my job, but since I will have no dog in any race, I will just go thought the motions.

Clark doesn't want to get rid of the guy he has faith in and who has made him money. The big factor in 2008 to let Carl go was that the Chiefs lost money that year from their operations.

This is why Denny Thum was wacked too.

If the Chiefs start losing money in their football and business operations, that's when heads will roll.

An empty stadium is embarrassing, but if Clark sells half the seats in that stadium for 10 games, he's still making money on that end.

O.city 12-30-2012 09:38 PM

If only the guy would realize by making winning the only objective he'd make a shit ton more money.

Oh well, time to find a new team

DeezNutz 12-30-2012 09:40 PM

Ironic that we have the #1 overall pick and be in a great position to get a franchise QB, and no one will care, at least not in the immediate future.

April should be a very exciting time, but it will be a morgue instead.

That sounds just like Hugh ****ing Culverhouse in Tampa... BTW THOSE Buc teams lost 10 or more games 11 straight years. Culverhouse passed away in 93 and the team was operated by a "group" for 2 of those seasons at the end. If CHunt is doing this... good luck.

Well, **** a baby duck. If this turns out to be accurate, then Clark can go fist himself. I mean seriously, what more does Pioli have to do to get fired? He literally may be the worst GM in franchise history, and the worst over the last couple of seasons.

If Clark really is THIS naive, then the hell with this team, at least while Scott Pioli and every other Cleveland era Belichick castoff we can scoop up is still here.

Part of the problem is that if too many GMs are fired, Clark may think he is not likely to get a good one, and decide to keep the devil he knows. There aren't 5 good GM candidates out there and there could be 5 vacancies.

There's WAY MORE than 5 good candidates out there. Just because we've never heard of them doesn't mean they don't exist.

Now I along with others, have tried to get her to reveal her source, but she will not do so. However she's a successful casting agent in the entertainment industry and a social media maven of sorts to boot. She really has no reason to lie or make up such a thing. Whomever her source is, she wouldn't have posted it if she didn't feel there was some validity to it. For the record if this is true, I'm not entirely thrilled with the idea of Polian, but it's surely better than Pioli...even if only marginally so.

Next time leave your sources name out of the equation, they don't need to know who she is or what she does. Knowing how these guy's take misinformation you didn't do her any favors by giving her a legion of pissed off Chiefs fans someone to point fingers at if this doesn't happen.

If Clark thinks his franchise can't be competitive in hiring a new GM then he should self-evaluate why his franchise is in such crappy shape (looking in the mirror would be a good start).

The Chiefs have the #1 overall pick, decent salary cap room, 5 Pro Bowl players on the roster, and a passionate fanbase (in waiting). All of those things should be attractive to a potential GM hire.
