What fantasy world would that be?

If they bring in Alex Smith, I don't think they'll even draft Geno Smith.

RunKC 02-24-2013 05:52 PM

I hope Dorsey drafts a QB in round 2 and takes the Aaron Rodgers route.

Draft Tyler Wilson. Let him learn for a few years, then have him take over.

I believed Clark when he slipped up and said there wasn't a QB worth drafting at #1 during the KK interview (I believe it was KK). He doesn't pay attention to Kiper/McShay. He said that after the Reid hire because that's where he heard it.

My guess is we bring in Alex and then draft someone like Barkley, Manuel, Wilson or Nassib. That QB will sit on the bench for two years being groomed. I think Barkley is going 1st round and at this point Maunel is looking like a great potential QB prospect to groom.

MahiMike 02-24-2013 05:55 PM

Hang on fellas. This could be a smart way to increase the desire for the #1 pick. Folks jumping up to get Geno. And if not, I've been calling for Smith squared for some time. Win with Alex and let Geno sit for a year or two. Worked for Aaron Rodgers.

Why should anyone care if he's sensitive to having a rookie looking over his shoulder? My guess is wherever he goes he's gonna have to deal with another QB on the team that could take his job.

Gregg Rosenthal

ChiefMojo 02-24-2013 06:03 PM

Yup agree, that is why I said Barkley is going 1st round. That leaves Wilson and Nassib being the typical 2nd round names but after the Senior Bowl and today, Manuel will never make it out of the 2nd round now. Teams that will take Manuel will be doing so with the thought of his upside and that he is someone they can have patience with. That sets up KC with the addition of Alex Smith.

I'm not rationalizing ANYTHING with Alex Smith at QB. He's worthless. He's going to cause this team to take a LT at #1 and franchise tag Bowe.
