Look at the you tube stuff. He has the arm. It's between the ears problem with him. If Reid can fix that if its even fixable, its the steal of the decade. If not, cost us nothing. Cast his dumb ass aside.

This is a top QB in the draft, if he gets his head on straight. Reid has worked with problematic players. He's young. Young kids do stupid shit. If he ****s up, oh well he's UDFA

Yep. Nothing to lose, but a little cash. (And it's not mine)

No risk, possible high reward.

Either Tyler Bray or Mike Glennon will be the next Joe Flacco IMO.

Mr_Tomahawk 04-27-2013 09:53 PM

He would be one of the top QBs in next year's draft. He can sit and start learning the playbook.

BossChief 04-27-2013 09:53 PM

Pretty exciting to have a guy with the most natural talent at the position this year be matched up with a coach that has done well developing quarterbacks like him in the past.

Stanzi to the practice squad or insurance office.

Titty Meat 04-27-2013 09:53 PM

Watched the game against Florida. He made a few stupid plays but man he made some throws 1 in particular was a back shoulder throw that nobody else on the roster could make. From a physical standpoint he might be the best QB Reid has had since McNabb.

The contrast between our backup QBs sure is wacky.

One is all arm and height and skinny as ****.

The other has no arm, is a midget, and fat.

Guys with arms like his don't come around too often.

I bet he can throw it 70+ yards.

Living in TN I've seen make a few plays like that. I've also seen him overthrow receivers running a 5 yard out pattern out of pristine pocket.

But let him sit and learn and we might, just might, have a good starting QB.

If there is any staff out there that can develop him, it's us.

Can't wait to see him in training camp and preseason after learning from Doug Pederson and Andy Reid.

One thing is for sure. Pioli would have never signed this guy.

Excited? No. I'd call it more like "intrigued." There's about a 90% chance that he won't ever be worth anything, but if he happens to be in the 10%, his upside is huge.

But to make it clear, I don't expect him to be worth a shit.

Mother****erJones 04-27-2013 09:57 PM

Bray's got a back tattoo. That's better than Alex Sniff's noodle arm.

Kyle Boller and JaMarcus Russell.

Jesus Christ, reerun.

I didn't say he should have gone in the 1st.

The fact is he has a rare arm.

In fact it's probably stronger than Flacco's.

We should be PRAYING this kid gets his shit square because him beating out Chase Daniel would be the best thing to happen to this team all offseason.

I don't know about that. Alex Smith was the #1 overall pick in the draft. I have never agreed with the people who act like he's a talentless hack. He hasn't lived up to his potential at all... no doubt. But Alex Smith is probably the most all around talented QB on the roster. He's a former #1 pick. He's not some 6th round scrub.

Bray definitely has the best arm though, little doubt of that.

I don't think he talentless, but he's not Aaron Rodgers, who went 24th overall. Let Alex play while Tyler develops.

You have more fingers and toes to count the QBs in the NFL that aren't a POS. None of those fingers and toes are named Alex Smith.

Majorly surprised. This improves the draft class as a whole if it's actually legit. It goes from "why didn't they pick a QB" to "they may have been smart not to pick a QB".

KC_Connection 04-27-2013 10:21 PM

Dayne Crist will never make the team now.

BossChief 04-27-2013 10:23 PM

You know what's weird?

Swap Bray and Davis in how they got on the team and it would be more exciting.

I think Bray deserved to go in the third and Davis probably didn't deserve to get drafted...at least not anywhere near the third round.

At least this gives us something interesting to talk about that isn't complaining.

I wouldn't go that far.

I like that they went all in to steal Bray from the Dolphins. He has everything you hope for as far as talent, but he still has that thing on top of his shoulders.

They still picked Davis in the 3rd. And the only pick on day 3 that wasn't a WTF was the obvious pick of Nico.
