This is awesome. Got the lens-mount for your camera?

I have a friend (back in Va. Beach) who recently got an ATIK 4000, and he thinks it's the cat's ass... Wish I was single!!! LOL!!!

I've heard nothing but good things about the Jaccard, and I've wanted one for a few years. It just always seemed like I'd put it off for something more immediately useful. I got tired of doing that and put it on the list this year

2 nice rugby shirts
a pair of pajama bottoms
Mickey Mouse coffee cup and warmer for my desk
Some nice Quality Headphones with the Disney logo etched on them
Chuck Norris DVD set
Big Bang Theory Season 6

Got her what she asked for....a Pandora bracelet with the charms she wanted and a set of Paula Deen cookware. (The big set)

Oh and a few gift certificates to her favorite places to shop. I never buy her clothes....made that mistake once, and never again.

I thought you couldn't get that shit anymore after she said bad stuff?

EDIT: It must have just been the stores that dumped her for dropping the N-Bomb.

Meat tenderizer. It's usually 24, 36, or 48 small and sharp needle-blades that pierce meat. It's got a spring loaded cover so it guides those blades well.

It does a great job with tenderizing meat, and allowing it to pull marinade deep into the meat.

And, it speeds up the cooking of the meat too (if that's somehow important). But it's very important to understand that it speeds up the cooking process because there's nothing worse that meat that's overcooked.

I got an authentic Bo Jackson Royals Jersey. Not signed, but still awesome! I'll upload pictures later in here and in the Royals Repository.

Not really a surprise, as my old microwave suddenly started arcing a couple months ago.

Love that it's stainless steel, love that it has convection. After a bit of use, I swear the thing is smarter than half the Apollo Mission, push a button, wait for beep, perfectly heated food through and through, with no splattering or bubbling over.

Found it for way WAAAAY cheaper than MSRP, so much cheaper that the deal is like part of the gift [makes one feel like a smarty shopper and stuff].

Can you do all three deals (microwave-only, microwave-convection, or convection-only)? I understand convection ovens from their early days in the 80s, and basically it was an oven with a fan that moved the air, but you still have to set it to "350" (or something). Is that how yours works?

Pretty much. It has a heating element above like a bigger version of what you'd get in a toaster oven, and a circulator on the back, and it uses sensors to either microwave, cook with convection, or combining the two as needed. The convection goes up to 400deg and swirls the hot air around the food to brown and crisp, the micro can aim the energy to spots inside the food to cook evenly.

OK, I'm jealous! ****er! If they could make one for outdoors and I could call it a grill, I'd get one on the way home today!

penguinz 12-26-2013 09:30 AM

Kids got me a Rambo style survival knife and some 5" cast iron skillets for camping. Going to take some work to get a real edge on the knife but it will make a decent utility knife when camping.

The knife is made by Smith & Wesson (model: CKSURG). It is 17 inches long, made of 440C steel, and is full tang (the metal extends all the way through the handle).

It's sometimes hilarious to me how you can identify a redditor by the most innocuous of things.

Was she stupid? Absolutely....does that make her cookware any less better? Absolutely not. Did it pay off for me? Damn straight because when everyone decided to rid themselves of her stuff I got it at a great price.

And it allowed me to buy her an additional item and stay within my budget.

I agree wholeheartedly. The reason I asked is my buddy and his wife flat out raped Wal-Mart after the news came out that they were dumping her line.

I thought she went out of business. Turns out it was just the box stores. They're on Amazon.

I am betting that you will eventually see it out again....and she will resurrect herself. And quite frankly my wife couldn't care if her name is on it or not. She loves the quality...and her happiness was what I was shooting for.

And BTW....I am pretty sure my answer came off a little more sarcastic to you than I meant it to be. Apologies for that.

NinerDoug 12-26-2013 04:12 PM

For the first time, my (11 year old) daughter insisted that I make a list. So, among other stuff, I got a 49ers flag, 49ers license plate frame, and 49ers blanket. So it was a good year.

No problem on my end. I was just pissed I didn't think to sprint out and buy some at the deep discounts. :doh!:
